Issue 11 of CQN Magazine is our biggest and best yet; 100 pages of smooth as silk, green as grass, content for the Celtic community.  This month we mark the club’s 125th anniversary with a look back at one of our founding fathers.  We have a look at ex-Celts playing in North America, with some spectacular photos, and we have one article from a former club insider on how the media exploited his casual comment.

There’s also a look ahead at our Champions League chances………

It’s here, it’s FREE to read online, it’s stuffed full of what your community have to say.  Get it while it’s hot!

As well as reading for FREE here (don’t try to read through the graphic below), you can subscribe for £10 or £20, and our sponsor, Executive Shaving, who offer an enormous range of grooming products, are offering readers a £20 voucher for all £30 CQN Magazine subscribers

  1. Just wondering, will the 50K fans be forming a barrier stopping BDO from moving into to liquidate them.

Strathclyde police might need to make a decision on which side of the law they wish to follow follow.

    Lardo66,

howmany fellow polis have you reported for sectarian behaviour, or has that never happened

  4. Neil, nil.

Something happened to me in 1985 that was deeply offensive. The perpetrator is now dead.

I make it clear wherever I go that such an event will never be tolerated and I would report such conduct.

More than likely behind my back!!

If we could exploit the adipose deposits of that crowd, we’d no longer need to hunt whales for clean burning lamp oil. (thumbsup)

We all bear the scars of seeing “Pee Wee’s Big Adventure” but it’s time to move on. (thumbsup)

I know Neil came out and expressed his gratitude to the GB via his Twitter account – we are all aware how he greatly values the fantastic support they give to the club, and the atmosphere they help to generate at matches.

The board on the other hand appear to ‘tolerate’ the GB, considering them to be a minor irritation imo. Quite sure the board – in private – also value what the GB bring to matches at CP, but they never come out and say so in public.

Let’s all stand up for the GB!

  11. Maybe they should employ Detective William Murdoch, instead of Sgt Murdoch?

    From Wikipedia:

“Another underlying subplot to the series revolves around the circumstance of Murdoch being a Roman Catholic in what is, at the time in which the series is set, the predominantly Protestant city of Toronto, and the prejudices that he occasionally encounters due to his religion.”

  12. Jeez Lardon67…I hope you didn’t find any of my earlier comments (or your new name) deeply offensive!

‘Pee Wee’s Big Adventure’ is one of the big movie blockbusters that are bankrollin’ the ole Zombie warchest.

Ole Ernesto explained the scam earlier the day.

  16. Re the Wee Oscar auction, I’m willing to put up my ticket for the Barca game (South stand) to be given to the runner up in the eBay auction. Slight problem is I am in Turkey at the moment, not back till very late Monday night/Tues morn. Don’t know how to go about it all, can’t email Paul67 from phone. Perhaps Smashingmilkbottles, Emu or even CRC could sort out the logistics of it all. Wouldn’t have to be done through eBay, but then how would we know the runner up?

  17. From the ET:

MANCHESTER United are reportedly lining up a £12million January move for Celtic star Victor Wanyama.

Hoops boss Neil Lennon valued the midfielder at £25m, but United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is seemingly ready to make his move and test the water with a bid of around half that.

To be fair, although they bring a lot of good things to the game, they don’t half know how to shoot themselves and the club in the foot on regular basis as well.

    Bubblegum,

Wish you hadn’t said that, there’s an alternative some people will be dying to use :o)

  23. Spot on – were you there?

Girl in my work couldn’t believe what he said about his time at Celtic and challenged him afterwards. Disappointing.

Pity he wasn’t as honest at the time!

  24. I believe that the aforesaid Sergeant Murdoch represented FoCUS at a meeting with the Celtic Trust who had called for answers to allegations of police harassment of Celtic fans at Celtic Park and elsewhere.

You may recall that at a previous meeting FoCUS were represented by Ass Chief Con, Campbell Corrigan (he of typing and great atmosphere at the League Cup Final fame) he said that the add-ons to the Celtic Symphony were the only lyrics the police were interested in.

At the latest meeting it seems that PC Murdoch’s lassie has widened the definition of “offensive” lyrics to include “The Roll of Honour”, “The Boys of the Old Brigade” and “The Price Sisters”!

Now I don’t think that we should sing songs about past wars but that is just my opinion. But they are not a crime.

And it should not be left to Strathclyde’s finest (Masons and OO in the main) to define what is or is not acceptable on a week-by-week basis and then inform Celtic FC of what they have decided.

No doubt when Sergeant Murdoch fails her next case against someone for singing “The Roll of Honour” she will widen her net of offensive songs.

The thing that gets me and brings me into the area of whataboutery is this: Where were all these sharp eyed and eared police officers when for two hours tens of thousands of Rangers fans belted out the most awful sectarian and racist bile at the CO-OP League Cup Final?.

    Europa League qualifier

    Scottish league cup ?

    Scottish cup ?

    Ramsdens cup

    Scottish league cup

6 cups knock outs in one and a half years but he will NEVER be sacked says Charles Green.

On average knocked out of a cup every 3 months. C’mon Alloa

In a rare interview with the Scottish media, Charles Green commented I just wish there were more cups available because I’m certain Ally is capable of being gubbed in more tournamnets and creating a new British record. Did I mention that I’ve got sevcoitis? Sevco are worth 80 million quid. What do ye mean the stadium and murray park isn’t ours, I’ve never said it was! That’s disgraceful we have been punished enough. My life has been threatened. Aston Villa are rubbish we are top of the league. Anybody want a free ticket? I made cups of tea. Ive never even heard of ticketus. Craig Whyte has been paid in full.

Charles Green was later carted off in a straightjacket blurting I pay my taxes you know!

Sevco now, Rangers then, repayments never.

    Such Fun

IF that is IF the MSM do manage to unsettle any of our Bhoys to such an extent that they do end up going elsewhere at least we will have the satisfaction of (sarcastically) saying “…..thanks for getting us many extra millions into our coffers (whereas your club of choice is still grubbing around in the gutter). Oh and by the way, MSM buddies, the money will be invested in another crop of excekkent young players that you can then help us getting even more money for!”

On an other matter entirely, Mrs Bee and I will be over at Auchrannie Sunday till Tuesday: are there any fireworks displays on the island on Monday?

No I was not there – he was just the first player who came to mind who played for us and City!

Well… he’s another one we can add to the list of ex-players who seem to have an agenda against us!

Do you know what he actually said about the club?
