Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67

Reason to enjoy Wednesday night number 67: Victor Wanyama didn’t get booked.

21-year-old Victor is a fabulous talent but he has also been a tad rash in his earlier Champions League outings this season.  One more yellow card will bring a suspension but his timing, and more importantly, his concentration, on Wednesday was excellent. This is a player maturing; more to come.

The 1254125 charity cycle left Lurgan this morning for Belfast port where they caught a ferry to Cairnryan. After they set wheel on Scotland they have a 37 mile cycle to Maybole, 7 miles of which is uphill, one of the most difficult parts of the endeavour.

They are people with the spirit of this club pumping through their veins right now. Check out their everyclick page for more information.

40.000 people “celebrating” the war dead. Sums them up really.

Yeah, they`ll be saying that they celebrate the dead better than anyone.

    Disturbed people.

Afternoon all. Need some advice. I’m in Abu Dhabi for the next 4 days and looking for a place to watch the game tomorrow. Checked Celticbars and the closest CSC is in Dubai which is out of my reach right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    —————————————————————

There is no ‘Celtic Pub’ in Abu Dhabi. Best bet is Heroes. It is a basement bar in the Crowne Plaza on Hamdan Street. Usually shows several matches simultaneously, but EPL tends to take priority. Call beforehand + check.

If you’re on your own, don’t be surprised if some exotic strangers start making small talk with you ;-)

Thank you sir. Very much appreciated and I’ll keep my head up if you’ll pardon the pun. Don’t post much anymore so I thought I had been shunned by the faithful. Seems to be a lot of newcomers on here now though. Not you Dubaibhoy.

    Partick Thistle 5 Dunfermline 1

Huge result for Glasgow’s second team, looks like there could be a Glasgow derby next season.

  5. Hell of a result for the Jags and another one for the Dons.

The Jags will be a great addition to the top league. A great support and we need them up to be honest. They should always be in the top flight for me.

We play the Dons next week – VERY BIG GAME at Pittodrie.

I started a Abu Dhabi CSC Facebook page when I was working there last year, handed it over to someone else now but PJ’s in Le Royal Méridien seems to be the place they have started to gather. Seems to be growing. They also have a Twitter @AbuDhabiCSC

No as good as the rapidly growing Doha CSC though…

  11. Tobago, how are you amigo? Missed you the last few times I’ve been in Waterloo. Didn’t see the game on Wednesday as I was in meetings in Seattle. Have it on DVR for my return though and I’ll be at the Inverness game on Nov 24th through hell or high water as I promised the wee 7 yr old princess I would meet her in Glasgow and take her to her first game in Paradise. Me and Mrs.TimsinOhio will be at the wee Oscar race night so I’ll put a bet on for your old Dad.

Dont forget wee daft sevco got ian black for nowt (they were ripped off) as hearts were skint, skint partially due to rfc bumping them for lee walace. No doubt it helped them get that wee boy templeton as well.

Serves them right for years of hun like behaviour.

  13. Why don’t Celtic offer Hearts £500.000 for McGowan and Paterson. Then Sevco will still owe them the full amount.Makes sense to me.

    The Red…,

So they fought and died for freedom but that very freedom to respect or not is to be denied, very good.

Still think the best resolution is the white poppy remembrance, but then do we want a mutual settlement, poppy supporters want imposed compliance, the hypocracy is as silly as the rotten mob. There are some of us who would like make our objections known vocally, I think that’s normal in countries who claim to uphold freedom, might not be fashionable but that is what the claims about why anyone died in a war are all about.

Come on Green Brigade, a white poppy banner would destroy this very clumsy stitch up.

Me, I choose to reflect on the innocent victims of senseless slaughter.

reading back today about wed night and cant really add much about the greatness of the occasion , imho it could be the making of this young team.

one thing that i keep coming back to though is the % of play that the hoops had.

and i find myself wondering what the score would have been had we seen more of the ball?

Great result for Jackie McNamara’s Jags today.

We could have Glasgow derby matches back on the agenda next season.

    Bring it on!

  20. The huns love to parade the names of players who served in WW11, most of them are unknowns and some served in home guard, also sammy cox and bobby brown didnae sign for them until the war was over.

The only one of note was willie thornton who won the ‘Military Medal’ for valour in the field in Sicily on 18 November 1943, I recall asking my father-in-law who spent the entire was either in POW camps or Concentration (not death) Camps about this and reckons the huns didnae really rate him and let him go.

  21. I thought the debt to Hearts for LW was owed by the dead club, not Sevco.

Why do Sevco need to give them money?
