Any other manager analysing Celtic line up would say

    No Broony No Celtic

    ——-

Taylor & Brown are the weak links along with the Manager. Brown is miles off it, he’s done. Taylor just isn’t good enough.

  3. I’m done for the night.

Going to bed Happy with the win, fully realize we are not firing on all cylinders & that we will need to improve.

Big game coming up against a decent Hibs team.

They will fancy their chances & will have a real go at us.

It will be totally different game from tonight.

    Can’t wait. Bring it on.

Good Night & God Bless All.

Agree with the comments of Go Tell The Spartim

Ntcham, understandably not happy with being subbed but he acknowledged the coach coming off as they bumped fists.

I hope he is considered for equal game time with Christie and Calmac. I don’t see Scott Brown being spelled before the Sevco game. He will start the Hibs, Sarajevo and St. Johnstone and Sevco games and only be subbed if we are more than 2 goals up. After the first Sevco game, I hope Neil will consider spelling him from our games more often.

  7. St stivs! Popular opinion Celtic will win Sunday! Hope you’re correct mate ! Losing confidence by the day! Anyway time will tell

  8. Scott Brown- Legend, I cannot imagine going to play the huns in a couple of weeks, and he’s not playing….some of his critics might need to have a wee think about that.Sure he’s coming to the end of his days, but in the next couple of seasons, who will be The Boss?

  9. Big Georges Fan Club - Hail, Hail, Wee Oscar on

PÓGMATHONYAHUN AKA LAIRD OF THE SMILES on 24TH SEPTEMBER 2020 10:23 PM

    1. …As regards the huns in Europe, luck is their middle name…

    2. …whilst we are in Europe I’d prefer the huns to be there too

    —————————–

    Alright Pog.

    1. Me and WeeBGFC watched maybe 50% of the Huns game (hoping for them to be gubbed) – they played well, were solid and well-organised, good shape defensively and dangerous going forward – Kent was a handful, as was Tavernier. The scoreline flattered them – W II had some good chances – but I don’t think there victory was just luck

    2. I know what you mean – and Paul 67 said the same.

However – the fiancial advantage we have had since the new club came into being means we should be so far ahead – lightyears – that this shouldn’t even be a consideration.

The fact we are even contemplating that consideration is a real indictment on the opportunities we have squandered.

The biggest missed opportunities are in Europe of course – following the last six wonderful league successes, we have only qualified for the Champions League Group stage twice. Three times only, in fact, in the last 10 seasons. Whether you like the competition or not, it represents a major potential income stream that we have failed to access time after time.

Every failure represents a missed opportunity of between around £15million to £20million a year.

Conservatively, that’s about a £100million missed opportunity over the past 10 years.

    £100million

    Missed

Failure to invest in infrastructure (coaching, management) is a big factor in my opinion.

Were are big enough to blast though smaller domestic challengers.

We are not well-enough managed / coached – over the long run – to get anywhere near the level of success our fiancial power and fanbase would lead you to expect.

Repeated and very expensive failure outwith the domestic competitions…over a long period.

  10. Just watched it here downunder – irritable start to my Frid – and glad for the win, it’s still a worrying spectacle.

Couple of good posts, couple of blithe over-confidents but, thankfully, no ‘tim-foil’ theories in the feed.

Agree this was a St Johnstone or Motherwell mob – average at best. But we played without passion or plan.

KLV reminds us we outlayed 35mill on this squad but it is really evident where it matters? Not to my eyes.

Big worries from tonight: Broony and Eddy. One wants to play but body resists, the other’s out of touch/focus.

Not that we’re likely to do this but for Hibs, I’d start with Frimpong and Elhamed on right. Drop Scott and let Bitton deputise in that slot. Start with Alby. AND, get the sports Psych in pronto, starting with the coaching team. HH

  11. Who do you listen to with regards Broonie ?

WGS ? BR ? NFL ? Coney and various others on here ?

  12. Too much tippy tappy along the back three and midfield which used up a lot of energy for no return. Taylor did get forward and tried to cut in enough. Fringpong our best player by miles having a direct go at what was poor opposition looking for a breakaway. Eddy not sparking yet. A poor win is better than a poor loss. Some big games coming up on the road to ten. Hibs and Huns next. The team needs to lift it for these two.

  13. Never in my life supporting the Tic have I seen 1 single Celtic player own the pitch versus the rotten mob in as many consecutive games as Broonie BTW.

  14. Name the 10 worst ever talented players you have had the misfortune to pay to watch

    1. Brown

    2. Bailie

    3. O’Leary

    4. Blackman

    5. Scheite

    6. Shepherd

    7. Edvaldson

    8. McGugan

    9, Smith

    10. Muggleton

  15. Again

    Brown being defended as old

He is not and never has been a good player

He is not a tackler , passer, or space denier

He annoyed a rangers player once……….

  16. Big Shuggie was awright. As for Paul McGugan, I know that he couldnt give a flying what you thought of him. When it was put to him that some didnt rate him, he’d reply that he didnt care cos he had put the ball in the back of the net versus the Huns and thats all that mattered to him. Shame about Shepherd – as a youth he was the considered the standout player in his age group (BT will testify).

  17. TAURANGABHOY

Agree Jeremy made huge difference, but thought Bitton had a remarkably calm/consistent perf across the 90.

Glad to see him back as he’s robust and creative both at back and middle. HH

You said we have the best manager

Can you back that up please ?

I assume you mean admin stuff. Like booking buses

Steve G is clearly the best coach

  20. Stop press

Celtic team boasted in the fact that James Forrest out of squad for hibs game

Frimpong will defo start on right. Great news

  21. Good morning, friends and a Big Happy (in the cold light of day!) Friday to all who post or lurk on here. WE go again on Sunday in what will surely be a very tough game. With every single league game being so important right now (the ‘average points per game’ could yet decide this season’s league!!) there’s an argument that we should now be playing our strongest 11 players in every league game. And so I’d suggest that should be

    Barkas (J6)

    Elhamed (13), Duffy (j6) and Ajer (J9)

    Frimpong (4), McGregor (1), Christie (2), Ntcham (3), Elyounoussi (5)

    Ajeti (8) and Edouard (11)

I’m sure you know what the numbers refer to ;-)

  22. THE LURKING TIM and BRRB…..

So sorry Bhoys but I have been a bit unwell since late yesterday afternoon, and I dont feel too much better this Friday morning. I need to see how I feel maybe around 10am, but I seriously doubt if I will feel well enough to go out Drinking Today ?

Its nothing serious, but I have “Side Effects” from a couple of the Pills that I have to take each day, and I shouldnt really leave my home, while I feel like this.

I know that I am Posting this health doubt very early, but I am trying to give you both a bit of “Notice”, so that you can make alternative arrangements for Today.

IF a “New Article” appears around 10am/11am I will Post again on that new Thread…but I think I will need to stay at home for another few days.

Maybe we can meet up next week…my health permitting ?

    Apologises once again Bhoys.

    HH.

  23. As I have Posted before, I am not too bothered about the Celts in Europe this season…For me…its ALL about THE Magical TEN !

I am glad that we won last night of course…but Thank God for wee Jerry Frimpers.

He MUST start against Hibs…surely ?

    Oh My Days !

    HH.

  24. BIG JIMMY on 25TH SEPTEMBER 2020 7:43 AM

    Hope you feel better soon.

Oh, and I like your jokes (as do my sons) :-)

  25. Big Jimmy – you look after yourself, and get fit as I will soon be taking you up on the last man standing competition in the pub. A reunion of the 4 Amigos and maybe TLT could make it a five a side team.🍻🍻🍻

Hail Hail Amigo and stay strong.

    D :)

  26. Gidday – seems to me our ‘game plan’ is the real head-scratcher; we’re labouring to win even vs pish sides.

Continually trying to thread clever passes thru a morass of two lines of 5 ( =20 legs) to engineer goals.

The Coaches believe this ‘crab’ plan is the best we can do, yet the players don’t seem to believe/enjoy it.

Sure can’t deny the doggedness of wur team tho.

  27. Is it time for Scott brown to be player/assistant mangers? We severely lack any experienced support for Neil

  28. DAVID66….

Its mostly ” Side Effects” from some of the Pills that I MUST take…nothing serious…but having said that..when its putting me off Beer it must be serious LOL !

Seriously, I wouldnt be comfortable about going out anywhere feeling like this…however I look forward to the Day when we will BOTH be lying …upside doon…drunk in the corner of a Pub…kidding on that we are ” All Right” . Singing Celtic songs…..LOL.

IF you and the family are going to Haggerston this week end…have a great time !

    Im jealous.

    HH Mate.

    HWG10IAR.

  29. Neil has spent circa £35m so far but you wouldn’t know from performances.

While we could (and did) skimp on transfers under BR and still get by, Neil is having cash thrown at him but things are turgid.

We have quality players but by far the weakest link is the manager and coaching team.

I fancy Sevco to beat us at CP but the strength of our squad should carry us through the seasons.
