Ronny Deila seems to be more upset at the poor performance yesterday than I was. My expectation on hearing the team matched what we saw. We have taken big steps to turn things around in recent weeks but, Ronny, this is your starting point, and it’s not as high as you might have thought.
Hopefully we’ll be back to something more recognisable as a full squad on Wedenesday, including Wakasooooooo.

hard to disagree that some of RD’s selections have been puzzling …. but, it does beg the question of why he is selecting some and not others …. he seem them training every day …. it is at least possible that, as bad as some of his selections have been, the others that have been left out may have shown even less ….
maybe others on here who see them training regularly (and I know some do) can enlighten us (or at least, me).
We are currently behind to Benfica. After a wee blast this morning Celtic went over 1000 votes ahead but Benfica fans are finishing very strongly and have just gone into the lead.

On RD.
What I think he has not quite grasped is the necessity of providing a sense of stability from a wee run of results.
The performance v Red Bull was ok but the result was better than ok.
The performance v Aberdeen was ok + and the result could have been even better had the ref spotted the penalties.
We usually play below par after a mid week Euro game. Last year was a bit odd in that Euro results were awful but the next domestic game was ok to good.
So had RD decided not to try and offset the normal below par performance after a game in Europe by resting 2 key players and had we performed all game as in the second half, judgements doubting him would have not been made.
I thought we were turgid first half. Reminded me of a number of post midweek Euro matches of the past that did not change at half time.
Perhaps it is all memory related but RD’S performance over 3 months is no worse than his predecessors in their initial days.
I’m not yet convinced but it’s far too soon to make a judgement.
MAKING FRIENDS WHEREVER THEY GO ON THE JOURNEY
Alloa’s Indodrill stadium was the latest stop on the journey for the team formerly known as Rangers FC. After 90 minutes of launching the ball in to the box at every opportunity from any angle TRFC were extremely lucky to escape with a point. Gutted for my old man ex Celtic season ticket holder who is on the backroom staff and the £250 p/w players that were 6 minutes away from glory.
The first question i asked was how was the referee?. Alloa received 4 yellows to Rangers 1(Moshni for stopping Alloa player being straight through albeit wide in last minute).
Ian Black had at least 7 fouls without booking with Alloa players being booked for 1st offences. Barry Smith was going crazy at the ref on several occasions. All we heard from media was about an offside goal which has now gone quiet because it was offside.
My da was asked by Alloa director to get TRFC top signed, he gave it to Durrant who said no bother and when returned had 2 signatures on it, making friends except when they don’t win.
The away dressing room was left in the worst state he had seen with the place stinking off pish with players pishing in the showers.
On leaving the pitch one of the Alloa players got Boyd’s top and later Jimmy the Kit man was desperately raking about the home dressing room. My old man said what are you in here for, are you in to compliment us on our performance. Naw im no i need to find a Boyd top. It looks like austerity is happening albeit out of sight.

My friends in Celtic,
While its advantageous to have the team fit, it is also beneficial to have a football brain, a formation, a plan, skill and attitude.
I do not know for sure, but hopefully our managerial duo are not obsessed with the former and neglecting the latter attributes.
Players like Kris Commons with his assists and goals must surely must have a shout in any formation until better has been sourced and proved. I feel they are reluctantly playing KC and LG ( when he gets a chance ) for that matter
Yes football has changed, but from the Lions to John Hartson we’ve had players who could not manage a < 4 minute mile, but knew how to play football.
Yes RD & JC ( both of them as a package ) must have some more time, but they must also be aware football is a results driven sport (business) and the fans need to see progress if not results.
