Time on the bench gave Hooper space

1040

This season, Gary Hooper has looked well below form of last term; his touch, movement and goals record don’t match up, but he came off the bench on Thursday to score a truly excellent goal.  Controlling a difficult ball in the centre circle, with defenders in close attendance, he picked out Giorgios Samaras before sprinting past his markers and finishing.

The winner against Motherwell was less spectacular but required sharp movement and spatial awareness.

Footballers cannot always play through bad form, sometimes they need a break, even for an hour on the bench, to get a different perspective on how they and the team play.

Despite his return to form I would retain the same 4-2-3-1 formation against Inverness next time out.

Captain Marvin Andrews is playing a big part in their season, I’m sure he’d jump at the chance to swap the red and black hoops for a return to the royal blue of Rangers FC (in admin).

  2. Sorry, just fully read your post – noticed you put ‘stupidly high fees’ etc. as opposed to acquisitions.

I think the administrator, acting in the best interests of the creditors (Whyte included) would liquidate them.

If anyone cares to take a look back…….historically this has been the case for some time.

I suppose if you are trying to influence opinion and create division it pays to get in there at the beginning <;-))

Chances are that Group Ltd is already charging Rangers plc 3% per month on the loan provided in May, plus additional charges for in-kind costs of the Directors and other advisors provided to Rangers plc by Group Ltd. However, it seems as though Group Ltd ran out of aye readies recently, and has since done a deal with Close Brothers for short term cash support, secured against the properties of Rangers plc.

An Adminstrator can retrospectively consider all transactions within five years of his appointment, and reverse those that compromise the interests of the creditors.

Your suggestion of the holding company charging exorbitant rates of interest in order to defeat the claims of genuine creditors would be unlikely to stand up to scrutiny.

As I understand it when rankers were £80m+ in debt SDM floated a share issue to raise circa £60m I think he only raised £5m therefore MIH had to underwrite the balance, £55m. This meant that MIH had an investment in rankers i.e. shares to the value of £55m. As MIH began to toil in difficult trading times the auditors would be advising them their “asset” would need to be written down and any subsequent “hit” would show in the profit and loss a/c. As MIH were unable to take this hit the investment was converted to a loan repayable under certain circumstances, therefore as loan this could remain on their balance sheet as an asset valued at £55m.

I would be interested to know what happened to this loan as a condition of the sale MBB, I presume this will have to be written off in MIH books and they will take the hit for this. I would not be surprised if MIH are the next scottish “institution” to go down the pan.
