“We’re only here for the party”. Hearts fans taunted us with that on 24 May 2009, the final day of the Premier League season, the day Celtic failed to achieve four titles in a row. Most of those who travelled west that day will be in the stands at Tynecastle on Sunday. They will see a different kind of party.
Chances are, you, like me, don’t have a ticket for the game. There are no tickets to be had for Celtic fans, and unlike 1988, when a few of us paid our way into the Hearts end under similar circumstances, even that will not be possible this time around.
I might not have a ticket myself, but I do have TWO TICKETS for the Celtic end of Tynecastle on Sunday to raffle for Mary’s Meals, courtesy of Celtic sponsor, Intelligent Car Leasing.

And include as many contact details as you think prudent to ensure you hear about your win (it wouldn’t be the first time someone didn’t catch their winning notification until after a game).
We win lots of leagues, but we don’t win them at Tynecastle too often. How sweet it would be to be there to celebrate and congratulate the team.
The good news is the competition is only open for two days, so there isn’t a lot of time to enter. If you donate after 22:00 on Wednesday – thank you – but your entry will not be considered.
13th Annual CQN Golf Open
This year’s CQN Golf Open will take place on Friday 28 July, again at our regular Aberdour haunt. It is always a magnificent Celtic occasion – and always oversubscribed. If you would like to attend, email Taggsybhoy, cqnopen@gmail.com
Beneficiaries of the night will be Walk with Shay and the Celtic FC Foundation, cost for the day’s golf, and evening meal and festivities, is £80, or £45 if you are an evening-only guest.

I have sky tv thru BT, but as yet I do not have Sky Sports, will I be able to watch the Celts hump the wee huns in my home, or are am I going to be forced to to go a smelly pub and drown gallons of stinky beer in celebration ?

This season I have watched young Tierney and posted that when Scott Brown hangs up his boots, maybe in the next couple of years (?), KT could become Captain of Celtic. ?
Can I now add Stuart Armstrong for the same possible consideration ?
I know that strictly speaking this is Stuarts first full season playing regular, but my understanding is that he still has to sign a longer contract etc, maybe like KT, Brendan could offer the Captains armband for SA to also aim at ?
i aint writing off Broony, by any stretch, but he and celtic will have to look long term after this season or next ?

I did a wee WIKI search last night, and it appears that the deid clubs new manager began his coaching with a youth team in 1999.
Since then, the three biggest clubs in Portugal, Sporting Lisbon, Benfice and Porto have appointed new managers approx 11/12 times between them since 2007 ?
The National team have approx 3 new managers during the same period ?
If Pedro was any good, why did he never land any of the top jobs in his own country ?

In KT and SA cases, maybe the promises of Captain and Vice Captain in the next couple of years, ( including higher wages), might be that added sweetner for both players to remain at Celts for years to come ?
Don’t get me wrong, no player should have to be sweetened up to wear the Hoops, but given the way the game is nowadays, it’s just a fact of life.

Worth every penny to give them deals close to what Broonie gets.
If we had to replace them with similar quality we’d need to pay top dollar anyway so no real additional cost to us but we’d have a premium if they ever (sadly) wanted to leave.

The great Groucho hosted an American Quiz show called ” You Bet Your Life” ( YBYL) in the early 1960’s. There are numerous clips of this show, sit back and watch a Genius at work, although some of the contestants are aff their heids ! So funny. try and catch the one with the wee guy who looks about 70/75…………..he claims that he was 102 ! He also had 16 kids, with the oldest being 88. He tells Groucho how his late wife called him a ” MAN” ! Bless.

Last night in Lanzarote ghuys , been scrolling back and saw some posts about old pubs & clubs etc. Does anybody remember a band called Moll’s Myre ? They played in Girvan Beach Pavilion regularly in 70’s , were a Glasgow band so must have done the circuit at that time !
While discussing the various hot topics with King David one really good idea was aired by King David. Given that we are the best squad and players in the world we agreed that to keep this team focused on consistently achieving the standard already set that further team building except doses should be added to our training regime. These excuse uses were written down on the blue paper with the blue crayons, and agreed by King David and as the most appropriate.
So today at 9am
The players washed and ironed their kit for the weekend.

Cleaned the kitchen and breakfast facilities.

Cut the grass and raked it.

Clean the driveway.

Wash management vehicles

Afternoon tea

Shower and clean washing/showering facilities.
The squad had a rare old time and as it turns out The Champions of Europe elect are the best footballers, kit washers, gardener’s (Ally was asked for input to help with pruning), drive cleaners and shower room cleaners.
King David has suggested possibly contracting out two days a week as a help in the community initiative.

I get my TV service through Virgin Media. I have the BT Sports Package but not Sky Sports. However, the channels are all there when I flick through, they just come up as ‘not subscribed to this channel’ However I do have Sky Sports Mix. So, even though I don’t subscribe to Sky Sports I will be able to watch Sunday’s game. So maybe chck your channel guida and see if it’s there for you.

I said last night that I thought that Stuart Armstrong was the MoM, after a day contemplating it, I have changed my mind and I reckon Kieran Tierney gets it, a wean playing out of his comfort zone and did superb.
