Away from pubic scrutiny

272

Appointing a manager is always a stressful time. Being left to get on with business away from scrutiny is rare, so it is ideal when all scrutiny falls on one particular candidate, leaving you free to meet and discuss plans with others.

You can be absolutely sure Celtic are speaking to more than one candidate, no decisions have been made and the ball is still in play. Meetings that are in the public domain are nothing more than that, many more have not made it into the newspapers.

It is truly unbelievable just how deluded the brainwashed bhuns are. But also quite revealing how scared they really are now that Rodgers is all but a done deal.

Over on follow foolow they actually have a 56 page thread on the next celtic manager. Yes you read that correct, the unobsessed have a 56 page thread on the next celtic manager! It has been going strong since the 6th of June until today, the 8th.

Quite an unbelievable read but quite comedic in its observations. If you dare jump over for a quick read I suggest reading the first 2 pages of comments before a quick fast forward to the last page & scroll back 3.

  2. Suppose to be signed and sealed.

Will see what happens but this is a great appointment if it happens.

I rate Rodgers above Ange. If this comes off, we’ve upgraded our gaffer.

If the prodigal son Rodgers returns it would be a fantastic “Welcome Home” party at Celtic Park.

Left us in great shape last time round, 8 points ahead, 11M banked and plenty of time for the new manager to prepare for Champions League, not like that antipodean charlatan Postecoglou.

    ==========================

    Your the charlatan.

    Every post attention seeking flatulence

Instead of the non puppeteered old moniker continually playing rebs but

utter guff.compare and contrasting 2 successful past Celtic managers.

Nearly as snide as the racism you invoke -antipodean.wtf us that meant to mean?

  4. Malachy Duffin on

Possessive adjective used to show ownership working overtime and not getting a penny for it.

  5. If we get Brendan,it will be a fantastic triumph for the Board. No maybes.no let’s chance it,just get the best available.

I really applaud the Board for this attemp,as their was so much feelings against from the”Celtic is my witorld div.”

Quite happy to gamble, but if it failed, blame it on the Board. Then talk about it on CQN,ad nauseum.

    Coragious decision,and the right one.

  6. Ange told us” Never fall in love with your heroes, they will only let you down*.As Ange did,as Brendan did,as KT did.

Time to grow up and learn.

  7. Never fall in love with your heros might go away back to our Edwardian times.

Just read it yesterday in the bould bhoys book.

And it was about maybe Dan Doyle coming to Celtic from everton

  8. Aliens invade planet Earth in south side of Glasgow attack? Or, maybe just a power outage. I’ll keep you all updated.

  9. I read Auroraboreas’ post above.

Took his advice and as soon as I stop laughing I’m off for a shower.

I’m throwing in the towel as I’m now convinced Ange was chased out of town by Beale and his potential signing spree.

Where do I resign after 70 years supporting Celtic?

  10. AN TEARMANN @ 11:31 PM,

All’s good – Martin is indeed a good friend with little input these days as you say.

Rumour has it he was an informal broker to get the ball rolling on any Brendan Rodgers deal during his last visit

    The latest from Stephen McGowan…

Celtic are sold on Brendan Rodgers’ Euro vision as they agree to back dream of becoming a Champions League force – with returning boss also keen to mend relationship with fans

Looks like a new structure, new facilities, new ambitions and new management team could well be descending on Celtic FC

    Steady on bud!

    Looks like it’s Brendan again.

Didn’t want him back initially, but the more I’ve thought about it, the more sense it makes and, if he’s getting assurances on control, spending, upgrades to the infrastructure etc, that will do for me!

    Mon the hoops! 😃👍🍀🏆🏆🏆🇮🇪

  13. Taurangabhoy on

I can’t get excited about ratgers. He had a pretty shite rangers2 to deal with and a team already prepared for him. Can’t think of a single signing that wasn’t a downsize. Normally a happy clapper but if it is Brendan he has a lot of ground to make up, in my eyes anyway. I would prefer an upcoming manager with an attacking style who has a good track record of finding talent. Hail Hail.

  14. It’s looking almost certain to be Rodgers – it’d be a curveball of epic proportions if it’s not.

Not having a pop at Paul67 here but his credibility for being ITK will take a huge hit if it is.

Spot on. Cos it’s dead easy this ‘find the perfect manager’ lark isn’t it.

    Money for nothing.

  16. TOM MCLAUGHLIN

I think Tauranga Bhoy’s concerns are valid but for a team in our league with our budget, Rodgers is still a coup and dare I say a slight upgrade.

  17. SCULLYBHOY

Seeing as they call Leeds a “premier league side” I would say not very.

I try and not deal in rumour with Celtic as you tend to end up with head twirling like beetlejuice catching onto every rumour goin and opinion changes by the hour.McGoon doesn’t know more than you or I my friend in today’s info age I can’t get whipped up by ‘manager latest’ good for copy, click a rag whose header ‘stop the boats’is the polar opposite to our founders.

I am patient but the focus of all this is Dermot and the board and the process to put a manager in place.no one else, media,Cellic bloggerati, bookies,I hear mob who in today’s info world are so wanting to be right,it may not matter they change opinion ev 5 mins.

As soon as Celtic say its all systems go whoever will be here for next 2/3 years.

The whirr of flatulence the last week is good for bookies, tabloid clicks, scum and rekkkord links, youl recall you’d get slaughtered posting them here, but here needs to know that info yesterday! If not it’ll be made up,bookies fav suspended as they count money.

Maybe just the way I look at data and info in relation to certainty.Thats why it the board to focus for me.get it right get it done get us moving, the budgets, innovations, renovations and all to things that make the good ship Celtic cut thro are there, with Ange on his leaving so it ‘tupes’ over to X,x being the new manager.

You have a good one buddy

  20. Just bumped into Owen Coyle at the Asda petrol pumps at the Forge, looked very smart with a snappy suit as if he was going for an interview somewhere……

  21. Tom

He’s coming from his granny’s who’s made sure his tie’s straight and his shirt is tucked in.

  22. They come, they bring success and then they can eff off.

Don’t get too close. See the fist pumping, chest beating as a bit of theatre, and take the sentimental stories of subbuteo teams and first kits with a pinch of salt.

It’s just business and all that matters are more great Celtic winning times ahead, including a wee overdue Euro final.

    Bring it on csc

Think it’s quite interesting that it was the daily record that ran with the story of the alleged Leeds hi Jack of the Rodgers deal….it has been totally dismissed by the Yorkshire evening Post chief sports writer who is said to be close to the club ( no reason to doubt he isn’t) ….are the record just being hateful as per or have they been giving a wee tit bit from our end so people would be relieved if Rodgers is announced?!
