  1. hate losing, but that’s football for you!

Scottish football has been dying on its feet for 3 decades. Scottish football does not need a strong rangers but it needs a strong celtic, Aberdeen, hibs, hearts, Dundee united and sevco.

celic will win the league (most important)

Aberdeen or ICT will win the league cup

who knows who’ll win the Scottish, if its Aberdeen, ICT, hibs, st Johnson then it could actually give those clubs a huge lift and platform to grow. would do little for sevco, as they have the blue pound anyway

we have lots of big town clubs awaiting such a platform. we could all have a bright future

    still pissed off mind you

  2. Stephboy more crap ezcuaes. I could wun the league as manager at celtic at the moment. There are no excuses for today. None.

  3. the long wait is over @ 15.12

I agree that Kris C was poor.

As for James, look at the number of A’deen players close to him whenever he got the ball. At least 3. And he was still able to cross the ball.

  4. I think you see the effect on this team whem KC is not in game added to no mulgrew.

Scott brown should watch back old barry robsons performance and ask why he did not play like that.

for me to many switched off after 20 mins when we should have been 2or3 up .

thinking at 1/0 we were cruising .

but the man in charge should have sorted it at half time .

neil must take the blame the lions share anyway

but a few players need there arses kicked .

    on monday .

I think this seasons new players big virgil aside

    look poorer by the week.

But hey hoe we have millions in the bank and a squad thst looks massively under strength

for champions league qualifing run .

I thought wee were getting players in to bed in fir this ……. on first look we might be punching below our imagined weight.

but hey hoe we got millions in the bank dont we Peter!

  5. It’s days like today that I wish I were an orthopedic doctor.

I would have a long queue of CQN posters suffering from knee jerk reaction.

We’ve had calls saying that Sevco dying has made the season an uncompetitive procession.

We got competition today and we withered under robust tackling in MF.

Yes I agree Sammi should not have even been considered. He is short of games and is running down his contract.

Mulgrew’s injury probably influenced Neil’s thinking.

We did have opportunities to put the game away, VVD header and Efe header, but we failed to do so.

Through Barry Robson and Willow Flood, Aberdeen withstood our early threat and recovered from our goal.

A couple of unlucky bounces in the box and awareness from Robson cost us the goals.

We will recover and improve as Neil figures out his best players for the run in and the CL qualifiers.

I expect Amido and Griffith to feature regularly as Stokes and Sammi are edged towards the door.

  6. That’s cup football guys, that’s football.

Looking on the bright side, no auld firm game this season.

  7. No problem with that result today, we got what we deserved and the better team won, well done to the 25000 or so fans who bought a ticket and turned up.

  8. Kojo

Did you not suggest Amido should be brought on during the game?

I think he heard you. :-)

  9. That was all about the team picked to start.lightweight midfield and a left back not played in two months. Lennons name all over that result.

Tactical disaster that could have been fixed and was’nt.

I think we have given the Rangers a large boost today if they can get to the final of the Scottish cup at Parkhead how delighted would there team and fans be to win it. There are very few big teams left and if the get a favourable draw and who thinks they wont ? they could have a right good chance. H.H.

Sweetie papers rustlin in the wind………………..

Maybe PL and the PLC will now realise that football without supporters is nothing. I’ve seen ordinary Celtic teams achieve incredible results with the backing of the support, forget the formation, tactics and personnel on the pitch it’s the loss of our vocal support and the energy they bring to the atmosphere which in turn lifts and galvanises the players to achieve that’s been smashed by our custodians covert policy, a despicable betrayal imo.

Is having money in the bank and avoiding the consequences of debt a problem for you?

Would you rather we ran at a loss?

Be dependent on the goodwill of the bank or a sugar daddy?

  13. Kojo,

You are spot on ; Lenny is very defensive and does not respond well to gentle feedback in an informal environ.

We will not develop under Lenny. Tactically naive and a wooden coaching staff. Morton and Aberdeen at home were beyond us.

If he does not resign we need to sack him.

We miss a once in a lifetime opportunity of a scottish cup final at paradise.

Crowds will settle around 20k for the rest if the season to watch lennnys turgid dross.

Hibs 2 Raith 3 not final score.

Put your money on Raith for Ramsdens Cup

It is quite unacceptable to be knocked out of the two domestic cups at home. If we were not dominating the league there would be pressure on NL. The only positive is that our season can basically shut down in a few weeks and we can start experimenting for qualifiers. With the financial advantage Celtic have I have to say that two trophies a season in a reasonable minimum expectation.

Mulgrew injured in training? Oh was it him Fisher smacked with his new Merc?

  17. NegAnon2:

You might think you could win the league, but if you were the manager of Celtic I’d for the first time in my life bet against

  18. On the day this Celtic team were comprehensively out played in midfield I can accept that but to play Samaras who was clearly not interested was just sheer incompetence on the managers part.Play guys who look as if they might be coming into a bit of form like Pukki and Biton, give Henderson a chance.

  19. Neganon:

If you were the Celtic manager I would bet against Celtic. You have no qualifications to state what you stated.

When corners come over we never have emdae standing abt 10 yrds back from the melee in front of the goals.

  21. Pogmathonyahun aka Laird of the Smiles on

The hundead will not win anything against half decent opposition! Their chance of making any decent money went out the door when we exited today’s competition. Today’s result was just as bad for their potential bank balance as it was for our hopes.

  22. We loast.. N.. Ah,normally, could Handle a Loss..

  23. Why are a number of posters calling for Neil Lennon to resign or be sacked?

I know it’s hard to take, but if we had changed managers every time we failed to win the Scottish Cup, Big Jock would never have led us to Lisbon or Milan.

  24. Not a knee jerk

But sitting in 111 today and within 15/20 mins saw my worries realised.

Matthews was never match fit – nowhere near his cruising speed and in the second half I though him really off his game.

A couple of ex Celts ran the show in midfield.

I was worried when I saw Brown passing to a more advanced Ambrose or Van Dyke – we got the midfield wrong and we played a couple of players who were not near good enough – Matthews and Samaras.

A Scottish Cup Final at Celtic Park? That would have been a beauty – especially with our record…

It’s not getting things wrong I mind so much as either seeing or reacting to mistakes much too late.

Ultimately – and with the greatest respect – when it comes to Cup games and Neil Lennon – I can’t find the a way to be surprised at results like these…

Shame – this and another 2 games would have had us in the final…

  25. The last time I checked, them that scores the most goals wins a game……….well done Aberdeen.

Pre match talk goes like this:

Celtic…….Business as usual guys (no detail)

Aberdeen…….Okay guys heres what we are going to do (in detail)

Barry Robson scored for us against Barcelona, he is a bully in midfield (my kind of player), they play four in there….we play two……we get done. Higher Maths not necessary.

I find it extremely difficult to criticise NFL but he repeatedly makes the same errors in judgement with no plan B and only gets away with it most of the time because of the league we are in. Maybe he needs to get his coaching team reorganised? I see no strategic or tactical thinking going on there?

As always I look over at John Clark and wonder how he sees it?

    Well done Aberdeen…..
