  5. Bada Bing,

Is that true about all those Bayern players being out injured? I certainly hope so, could give us a fighting chance tomorrow evening. HH

  6. Very disappointing to see the continuing practice of folk leaving the ground early, as on Sat and on many other occasions. While it was not the best performance v Killie, and some players maybe had an off-day, it surely is self-evident that the team respond much better to determined and wholehearted support and especially with equalling a 100-year-old record. I don’t suppose any of these fly-by-night “supporters ” will bother about a midweek evening match tomorrow as winter approaches… These are exciting times to be a Celtic supporter, enjoy and support the team. We are not going to perform like we did v Aberdeen in every match, but it will help if we do “support ” the team. I have had the great privilege and pleasure of supporting Celtic teams since the mid-60s, and even in the lean years, it has always been a joy. COYBIG

Spot on my friend. Some of the so called fans have never seen the bad old days and how it felt. We have and are thankful for the great times currently enjoyed. Never in my life did I leave a game before the end, even the Partick Thistle Final when we were four down at half time.

Modern fans don’t know they are born.

Each to their own, I’ve used the first 2 plenty of times over the years.

Never be critical until you have walked a mile in that persons shoes.

After all its the individuals choice, my personal grump is people turning up late for kick-off, but that also has many variables.

  11. Great night on Friday at the SEC with Brendan – left feeling more confident than ever that our man is here for 10 in a row.

It was great to meet excellent CQNer Lennybhoy for the first time – he’s a great lad – and to find out that I am good pals with an Embra cousin of his (and a great Celt himself) going back to primary school days.

Hard to beat The Celtic Family

  12. Lewandoski not traveiled to Glasgow,

one less to worry about, let’s hope we see an Aberdeen type performance tomorrow, 4-0 will do, puts us in front on head to head

  13. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Extended highlights of Bayern’s game at the weekend against RB Leipzig on BT Sport 3 later today at 1.00pm. Going to watch that, just to see what we’re up against. If I spot any glaring weaknesses I will let Brendan know.

I am hoping that we will see a clear benefit tomorrow from Brendan’s team selection on Saturday. It would be nice to add Bayern to the corpses of Barcelona, Manure, Juventus, AC Milan et al.

I personally find the criticism of Brendan’s team selection at the weekend strange. Developing players got some important game time. Ajer, Johnston, Kouassi and Ntcham. Look at the ages of these guys. More central defence time for Bitton. We drew, record hunting still intact, still top of the League. Ffs we won the league by thirty points last year. We are uniquely strong in our own league. We have earned the right to play fringe players in some games. It is the one great advantage we have over other teams in the Champions League, do we should use it.

The fact that we drew the game, is actually a plus point in the development of the younger players I mentioned earlier. They have learned that you don’t just have to turn up to win. It requires effort, skill and concentration, and lets these players know that they will have to redouble their efforts on the training ground if they want to get a place in the Celtic first team.

When called upon in the future, these players will have had the experience to help them succeed. We learn nothing from trouncing teams in Scotland ad nausea, with our strongest team selection.

If ultimately, some of these players don’t make it at Celtic, then at least they have been tried.First team experience will at least add value to any transfer fees we may receive, and help allow us to get the better players we will require.

Finally, if the rest time that the likes of Brown, Boyata and McGregor got at the weekend benefits these players, and allows them to put in top performances tomorrow night that result in the humbling of Bayern and another famous Champions League win under the Celtic Park lights… if that happens… then who will remember Saturday’s team selection? Or care?

    Just read back.

Great news the wee one’s operation went well!

Prayers said for a full recovery!

  15. Bayern ?

Watched all of their 2-0 walk in the park v Leipzig . Leipzig played with 10 men for @ 75 mins ( a no doubt about it last man red ) . .

Pass and move / triangle after triangle . Some seriously quick stuff on both wings .. Fabulous movement . Prone to over elaboration / prone to trying for the perfect goal . Created a lot of chances but didn’t take them . Dropped a gear at 2-0 . Dropped another gear in the second half . Vidal replaced the limping Lewandowski . They then played aint we good keepball . No means of telling what they would be like under pressure – Leipzig were incapable of doing that – they played like their only ambition was to avoid a doing

  16. lets all do the huddle on
