Be that as it may, you could put your house on the fact that there would be no talk of hastily-arranged league reconstruction in the next few weeks if there remained a possibility that SPL clubs would vote a Newco into the league at their meeting on 4 July.

There is no mention of subverting every rule in the game to ensure a team called ‘Rangers’ are positioned in as high a league system as possible. The statement is completely disingenuous. Having lost the battle to parachute Newco-Rangers into the SPL, Stewart Regan and Neil Doncaster have redrawn the battle lines.
Celtic supporters are the great cash cow that is expected to pay for the crimes of others. It’s up to you if you want to Cough up for Killie (etc.).

Those of you with any knowledge of how the world of work, government, practically any big organisation works you will not be surprised by the turn of events we are looking in on.
People at the top don’t carry out the will of the people they supposedly represent whether they are shareholders, voters, customers or fans. No, they do their own bidding, protect their own position and to do this they identify where power lies and pander to it.
It is quite incredible that a deceased football club (get over it Ally, you’re on your second management job now) which has disgraced itself so badly and exposed it’s former custodians as self serving, greedy tax dodgers to a man is still being identified as the seat of power to which they must pander. Amazing really.

It is hard to escape that conclusion. For the sake of integrity they should go to Div3. For their own sake they should go to Div 3. But they are a dead club and the new one is looking like a small boat in the middle of a big ocean without rudder or engine.
