Issue 5 of CQN Magazine is out today with some exciting changes. We’re moving print production into the UK for this issue, which will be available after the game against Rangers, with 8 extra pages not included the online version, covering all the drama from next week’s game.
We have a couple of retrospective articles touching on the momentous events of 2011, including an interview with George Galloway, discussing his book about the life Neil Lennon has had to endure. As you would expect, George doesn’t shirk out of the tackle.
We also have an excellent interview with Elaine C Smith, talking about growing into her life as a Celtic fan, her work and tackling domestic violence. We cover the recent Football Bill and question the possible agendas behind a senior police officer, and recent striking referee, reporting Celtic fans to Uefa.
We stick our first toe in the short story water, a clarion call to Reclaim the colour Orange, tons of great fan memories, many of which you’ll share and plenty more, it’s all there, including typos and deliberate mistakes!
You can order now with credit/debit card or Paypal and buy direct from the UK for only £3.50 + £1.50 postage and packing. Shipping costs £2 to ROI, £3 to Europe and £4 to the rest of the known universe. Click on the link below to order.

Many thanks to those who have helped get the magazine off and flying this year. Everyone who has contributed (or even read) are invited to the Cathedral House Hotel in Glasgow on Friday evening for a Christmas drink. Target time is 20:30, see you there.

Meant Puyol was the captain of Messi at Barca.
Must be Torres at Chelski. Captain: Mr England – the (alleged) racist – John ‘do a barbers flair’ Terry
Bada/Jobo
Cheers lads might try and get in for a couple if everything is done beforehand.

Take Suarez out of this Liverpool side, and you have a very average team indeed
Torres is no 5 with 10 millions per year.
commonsense bypass for the ref in the Ajax game

Not that player, not that team.
Name of player no 2 is not well known.
But that captain…. that captain is a legend.
To be fair, so is Kolo, but that’s a very different story.
Z

Magic stuff from the Alkmaar manager, they will get hammered no doubt.
Takes me back to swinecastle, where the victim is the one who is punished.

If only more managers were to do something like that, maybe’s the standard of refereeing might improve, but I doubt it.

Apologies if I caused any offence, it was not my intention to do so.
Are you sure he earns that much? In every place I find he’s on roughly e26m for 30 months (10.5m per year or so)

There would another strike by the tax dodgers friends if we were to walk off at one their Honest Mistakes.
Now thats starting to sound like a good idea.
With reference to that Scottish Cup Quarter Final v Kilmarnock.
The game was played a Celtic Park on 6 March 1965 and was Jimmy McGrory’s last match as Celtic’s manager.
Celtic 3 Kilmarnock 2
Scorers :- Celtic :Lennox (15), Auld (60), Hughes (67)
Kilmarnock : McInally (59 & 73)
Celtic :- Fallon, Young & Gemmell, Murdoch, Clark, McNeill & Brogan, Chalmers Murdoch, Hughes, Auld & Lennox.
As previously mentioned, Celtic played in the “shamrock strip” – I think for the last time – and Kilmarnock played in all blue shirts white shorts and blue socks instead of their traditional blue and white stripes.
The following Wednesday, Jock Stein took charge for the first time and Celtic won 6-0 at Airdrie with Bertie Auld scoring 5 of the goals.
Who is Dario Conca?!

The referees/assistant
orcsreferees strike every week:-Penalty for Aluko diving
-‘Offside’ goal disallowed
-Penalties denied
Mea culpa, wrong type of strike
