Last night Leigh Griffiths ‘Liked’ a Twitter comment suggesting either he or Bayo were likely to leave the club following the arrival of Patryk Klimala. What subsequently kicked off was sufficient for Leigh to delete his Twitter account. The original comment may be valid, and Leigh’s reaction was certainly ill advised, but he, more than anyone in the squad, deserves some slack from the support.
Leigh Griffiths has earned the right to do pretty much whatever he likes on social media, within normal taste guidelines. Since he arrived at Celtic six years ago, he has exceeded expectations, scored goals and been an important part of our story. His interaction with fans and kids outside the stadium and at events is generous and increasingly rare.
He is also 29-years-old and naturally fit. His story has a few chapters still to write.

Big slide in Celtic shares continues. Down 5% on the day and 13.3% on the year. Getting interesting. 🍀

McNut…
All good with me fella. You strike me as an interloper of the clumsiest type with your choice of topic high on the Hun long list of Celtic conspiracies and myths.
Hang around. I think you’re great value but remain highly sceptical.
thumbs up….
McNut is the 10th largest Shareholder in Celtic. He has 6 times more shares than Lawell. So the next time ye have a crib forget about Slagging Pedro. McNut is the man to have a go at.
Huns asking for permission to enter final year of Hummel contract seems strange at this stage.
First, they’ve been told already to go back to sports direct for next season so the matter has been ruled on already.
Secondly, even if a u turn was performed and the court allowed them to see out the Hummel contract – their liabilities to sports direct would simply increase to compensate them for another year of contract losses.
If you listen on CQN to the pessimism and negativity surrounding the prospect of Celtic failing to win the SPL , and the consequent financial impact this would have on our accounts , then its perfectly logical that the share price should drop.
What do the bookies say , I wonder ?
Actually , maybe a good time for SUPPORTERS to put their money where their gobs are and to buy shares.
I have a feeling the Griff still has a role to play.
So Ismaila Soro is turning out for one more match for his current club before coming to sign, and we are ok with this?
Risky.
HH
I don’t know anyone who really believes Griff can return to the player he was 3-4 years ago. We all hope he can, but believe? Nope.
At best, he will be a bit part player for us. He may fleetingly show glimpses of his glorious past but he will not return to being our star striker for the remainder of his contract. He is, at best, our third choice centre forward.
Those who know him personally, know he reached rock bottom. The club has rightly stood by him throughout his recovery, as any responsible employer would. Where he is on that journey,I do not know.
But, as a player, if he is not ready to play for us then we have to stop pretending that any day soon he will be. I would keep Bayo and let Leigh go out on loan, somewhere where there is less expectation, less pressure than at CP.
Games and goals may be what he needs to complete his recovery – to lift his mood, to boost his confidence. If it does, we get a better player back next season.

Hi, can you explain that?
It is actually taken from a character in Inspector Morse played by Iain Cuthbertson – he also played Charlie Endell in ‘Budgie’ starring Adam Faith.
Iain was a good man.
In all my years lurking I have never known anyone to call our ground c. p. as I read in a post from a poster the other day, and in the same sentence write Ibrox . Just something that struck me the other day.
McNut
Over 1% but not quite in the 3%……..Why not just say over 2 but not quite 3 ?. Or does hector come after you if you say that ?.
MACJAY1 FOR NEIL LENNON on 15TH JANUARY 2020 4:12 PM
I don’t think CQN is that influential!
Secondly, the financial difference between coming 2nd and 1st in the SPL will be buttons (relatively).
Theres the obvious path to the CL gone if we dont win the league, however this is a competition we havent qualified for in the last 2 attempts yet the share price did not take a tumble. In fact, it has risen slowly but steadily in the last 3 years.
Probably nothing but noteworthy at least – all investors even if just ’emotional’ investors should keep an eye on whats going on.
HH
Big Wavy my Man don’t worry about the Celtic Shares fluxtuating that’s
no doubt due to us not having CL footy for a couple of years which
hopefully will be rectified in the not so distant future & the Bhoys
having a negative result just recently I would take this so called
negative & one bad result away from a crises with a pinch of salt
its negative news & we all know how the media in Coldland loves
negative news about our beloved Club don’t worry things will get
better in more ways than one that’s for sure perhaps DD & PL will
take this so called opportunity to buy more shares remember every
hidden negative story always has a silver lining @ the end of it if you
catch my drift anyway we are a Club who will never walk alone H.H.

It seems very strange. I don’t think this deal will be done.

Really ? I wasn`t aware of that.
celtic men calling mcnut a hun or troll can spot one better than me. i’m going out on a limb and say he’s ok.
i’m sure you will let me know if/when you find out for sure.
MCNUT
Just admit it. You are from the dark side.
You have been rumbled by many on here!
NOTTACLUE1 -I often refer to our home as Celtic Park or CP on here. Comes from years of being told off for calling it Parkhead by my elders.
By the way, I’ve been on here since year one. Hope you don’t think too badly of me.
Surprise surprise let me guess its Court Case time with Ashley & Sevco & the
Hun Media Group now have to make up a negative story about Celtic to
counter-react their negative reports about their so called beloved heroes
aye no right this Country Coldland’s so called Media is a sad pathetic joke
& is so predictable has anyone looked @ our Club’s shares value on the
London Stock Exchange?
McNut. You are Thomas Addison. You old rogue. I should have known with that Holding you would be on the Board.
Iain Cuthbertson (4 January 1930 – 4 September 2009) was a Scottish character actor and … 1990, Inspector Morse, Desmond McNutt, 4.04 “Masonic Mysteries”.
But there`s only one ” T ” in …………….Oops.

And the jury retires to consider its verdict of ” Not guilty ” .

Why would the selling club and/or the player endanger an advantageous transfer deal? It’s not adding up.
If Celtic really wanted him, if he really wanted to go, if his club really wanted to sell…..would they risk letting him play in a match his club are obviously desperate to win?
What happened to the Morelos money?
TimHorton do you also believe he has a Shareholding of over 1 but less than 3 % of Celtic.

A ‘t’ was missed in registration and I never went back to fix it.

” Masonic mysteries ”
Mebbes naw.
Our lack of signings is concerning. After defeat to Sevco, P67 and Harry Brady were coming out with a fed line about assembling a squad to win all our remaining domestic games.
We start back on Saturday with a vital game at rugby park in 7 days. I see no evidence of our stated transfer window aim being fulfilled.
Given what’s at stake and the resources we have available, this window has been a bigger disappointment than the Sevco defeat.

by £8 & coppers which is not a lot of money nowadays nah lets get back to the Hun Media’s
Heroes taking a financial hit in other words Ashley needs the extra income to help new faces
acquisitions well Mr Ashley no doubt Sevco will probably try & sign you up on the never-never
repayment option considering their Debt & are in the Red so like that old tune their will be
trouble ahead in your case Mr Ashley there will be more Court Cases Ahead like the old
cliche its like trying to get blood out of a stone
I know McNut. I don’t mind you being here at all. We need a few nuts here it adds to the fun and it increases the post count. I just can’t take anything you say seriously.
CORKCELT @ 16:45
…and vice versa, but only recently. You are trying too hard.
N.B. Celtic would not list any future court action as a contingent liability for two reasons:
1. It cannot be easily quantified.
2. If it was quantified, it would give those who may sue, something to aim at.
