Last night Leigh Griffiths ‘Liked’ a Twitter comment suggesting either he or Bayo were likely to leave the club following the arrival of Patryk Klimala. What subsequently kicked off was sufficient for Leigh to delete his Twitter account. The original comment may be valid, and Leigh’s reaction was certainly ill advised, but he, more than anyone in the squad, deserves some slack from the support.
Leigh Griffiths has earned the right to do pretty much whatever he likes on social media, within normal taste guidelines. Since he arrived at Celtic six years ago, he has exceeded expectations, scored goals and been an important part of our story. His interaction with fans and kids outside the stadium and at events is generous and increasingly rare.
He is also 29-years-old and naturally fit. His story has a few chapters still to write.

I know we played our four Irish youngsters in a note worthy win today but I’m best pleased for three Scots who’ve had tough loan stints so far this season, Church (90mins) Deas/Welsh (half/half). Don’t think we’d have kept Chelsea scoreless last season.
Management will have marked Ryan Mullen as a tick as well.
Leigh Griffiths. I think his major problems started when Brendan Rodgers came in. During an interview Rodgers said something like ‘ Griffiths scored 45 goals ( or thereabouts ) last year, we can’t have that.” He went on to say one guy scoring meant you were just one injury away from losing all those goals. I think Leigh has taken this the wrong way. Rodgers should have praised Leigh for such a great year but he made it seem like scoring so much was a negative. Rodgers should have praised Leigh for having such a fantastic year. Then he could have gone on to say we are going to have more than just one guy scoring 40 goals a year. I seems to me that Rodgers chose to be negative about Leigh when he could have been much more positive. I think this is where Leigh’s current problems stem from.

was in a local Italian eatery last night
Chicken Alfredo
was on the menu
Knowing little about food
could somebody advise is this a historic dish
or just a recent flash in the pan for our times
Nah Chicken Alfredo it was taken off of the Menu
cause it kept diving around the place & kept
stamping on peoples feet
Celtic would not list any future court action as a contingent liability for two reasons
———-
Celtic by law are required to do so, and our directors would be open for prosecution if they did not.

Then that goes to show Rodgers approach was more Team Focus rather than
individuals that’s Rodgers style he did not want any individual stealling all
the limelight however he did have his favourites when you consider that
Leigh scored 40 goals under Ronnie Dialar the Season previous & excluding
Moussa Dembelle he even put tall Eddie in front of Leigh in the pecking order
so this did have a negetive effect on Leigh’s mindset talk about being let down
anyway that’s bye de bye now in the past I would like to see Leigh prove all
those Celtic Fans (doubters) remarks oh Leigh will never be the same player
as he was before prove those doubters wrong Leigh & show some determination

There is no accounting contingency to report at the moment, I have never said there was.
What I said was that there is ongoing activity in the CBC ‘thing’, and it would understandable if the board, being mindful of this, were ‘hoarding’, ‘not spending’, ‘watching the bank balance’, in case something should something develop, e.g. a case coming to court to prove a Celtic FC link in the running of the CBC- if this happened, that then could result in an accounting contingency…..if it could be quantified.
AKBW 1888:
It would be a great thing if Leigh banged in 15 goals this half of the season! Here’s hoping!

A case coming to Court in an attempt to Prove a Celtic Fc link
Corrected that for you McNut I know you didn’t mean to imply anything just a bit of clumsy language.
Never mind, sorted now. So no hard feelings.
Whitedoghunch –
Chicken Alfredo?
It’s hit and miss mate….usually miss against the mighty Hoops!
It could however, do with getting it’s wings clipped. 😁
I also find the Soro situation baffling . If we have agreed a deal to sign the player , why risk injury and possibly the whole deal by playing ‘one last game’ for the selling club ? I can’t see them or us being happy to agree to that.
Helpful hints;
If someone ever walks towards you and makes a throat-slitting gesture, they will simply mean their night is over and they’re heading home.

I’m not spending too much more time on this – if the club were taking such a course (hoarding cash incase) they would be legally obliged to report it.
They have a fiduciary duty to shareholders to explain their running of the club.
As multi million pound share holder I’m somewhat taken a back by your ignorance of corporate governance.

I notice Leigh Griffiths Twitter account Leigh has switched it off too many
numpty stalkers stalking him & talking a load of pish (Gobshites) I would
say that we (Celtic) should hold onto Leigh Griffiths & see if he can regularly
play for the first Team & show determination to get back to the player he
was before Brendan Rodgers arrived I would not put him out on loan
not until we see what this Polish player is like if said Polish player can
turn out to be a success cause Mikey Johnston is not the answer if the
Polish fellow does not work out & Tall Eddie gets injured we need to
keep our attacking options open
McNut – I enjoyed your earlier post – the one with a little of your back story – interesting stuff.
At the risk of intruding, was your investment emotional or financial?
Hail hail
BTW – in the interests of full transparency – I am a shareholder of under 1%.
Well under.
GlenDaly. We don’t know whether or not a deal has been done but even if we have, he is still their player & I don’t think we can tell them what to do. . They are having a poor season, tonight is quarter final of Cup and there last chance to win anything. I can understand why the would want to field their strongest team,
Obviously there is a risk of injury but that is where the pre signing medical comes in.
Both themselves & the player are taking a bit of a risk. Obviously if he picked up a serious knock it could scupper the deal.
Hopefully that doesn’t happen & hopefully we have a deal and it goes through.
From the clips of him, he looks like exactly what we need. I am really excited about us getting this guy.
When I checked just now (well the calculator did), my shareholding is 0.0000106382%. And don’t forget it.

I’m also a Celtic Shareholder I have nearly 300 shares now I know its not
a lot however I would never sell them I would suggest that course of action
to all Celtic Shareholders out there now we know this is a small setback
@ present however over the course of time this matters tend to even
themselves out
McNut wishing he was Cher so he could “turn back time” and fix that that wee percentile error.
Rats!!😂
Any Celtic Minded Supporter knows that when you buy shares in your Club
you are in it for the long haul who has ever heard (exception of Fergus McCann)
making a profit out of selling ones sharesholding stake forget about this small
blip & lets move on as mentioned these matters tend to even themselves out
over the course of time

Celtic shares will not drop any futher not unless someone is
scaremongering/insider deallings/& playing the stock market
which eventually will be exposed Celtic shares will stay @
£142.50p per one hundred shares until the Summer time
when I’m sure they will rise up the way don’t worry & keep
the faith you know it makes sense

I’ve been writing about Brown for some time now so forgive me if the narrative seems familiar. But the question of succession planning remains extant.
The captains half term report.

Thank you for that – you are right, I was not and am not implying anything.
I wish that the whole episode could disappear. However for those genuinely involved there must be trauma.
If things were simple and straightforward, I am sure Celtic, being the club they are, would, without prejudice, make awards and donations where appropriate to preserve our good name, even though the word Celtic was the only connection. – The work of the Foundation is testament to that.
The highlighting of the share price drop was merely a piece of Celtic information that I thought readers might want to know – it has since taken on a life of its own.
If these things make me a hun with some, then so be it – I know who I am and who I support.

he seems to read the game so well, spots danger everywhere on the park well before it happens
and tidies it up
Puts me in ‘mind of Neil Lennon at the same age
Scott though is fitter and more mobile
I hope he stays with us after retiring from playing

I notice on You-Tube a poster by the name of Suitcase Monkey
gives quite an interesting tour of Inner & Outer London & The
English West Country we should inform Keirnan Teirney about
said You-tube 15 minutes or so short film he will find it
interesting indeed
I accept you know who you are McNut but do you know how many Shares you hold.
Not wishing to prolong the discussion on the Boy’s Club abuse but I did read somewhere that there is 1 sample case pending in the Court . So when that reaches it’s conclusion this matter will be finalised one way or the other,

Good shout & suggestion WhiteDogHunch Broony would certainly
make a very good coaching addition to our Backroom Staff Broony
could teach the future players how to break up play & hold down the
midfield area of the park all we need now is a playmaker to give us
more options & strengh & directness within our play

Celtic would have received legal advice on this and as a result have not registered a contingent liability.
Simply put, zero legal connections between Celtic FC and CBC means zero corporate responsibility.
If individuals have a case to answer then it’s a separate criminal case against them.
It’s pretty much the same reason why Sevco rangers have no case to answer for the lads abused by Neely while he was employed by Rangers FC ( now in liquidation) – there’s zero legal connection and therefore zero legal corporate responsibility for the new club.
My heart goes out to all abuse victims but the law firm taking this case are in my view acting highly immorally in their attempts to take a case they know is destined to fail. Their game plan is a pr war, not a legal one, that they can not win.

No answer….ah well.
Finished 1-0 across in Israel for Soro Bhoys team. Don’t know if he played or how well if he did. Just hope he didn’t get crocked.
Listen ghuys. if ma shares had just went down by £200 GRAND in 3 days, ad be pissed aff as well.
So gie him/her some slack.
The value of my Celtic holding went down by about £40 quid, so not too upset.
An Dun, I’m sure Celtic’s Legal advice is to do or say nothing pending the result of the case. Anything they might do could & probably would be prejudicial.
If the claimant wins his case, Celtic will have to deal with the consequences, if he loses his case then Celtic could and I hope they would make an ex gratia payment to all abused kids without prejudice.
