Helsingborgs IF are sixth after 17 games in the Swedish Allsvenskan, seven points off Elfsborg and Malmo, who ended Scotland’s interest in the Champions League last season. Our opponents clearly play it tight on the road, they have lost only eight goals away from home, considerably fewer than anyone else in the league (Malmo: 19), although their home goals for and against are not unusually low (scored 14 to Malmo’s 16 at home, conceded nine to Malmo’s one).
Helsingborgs have lost only three league games, fewer than anyone else. Four draws from nine home games appears to have cost them most ground in the title race.
Celtic can expect to face a tight defence who are well versed at shutting teams out in the second leg in Glasgow where they will need the creative talents of Kris Commons with perhaps Paddy McCourt p[laying a role. A big European-night atmosphere at Celtic Park will be invaluable.

Celtic should consider the ole German Spiegeltent (capacity 3000) for home games. Much better value than a car park for the richer fans.
They could call it the Spiegelgazeebo?
Celtic superstars still use the ole school car park, like Danny McGrain and Peter Lawell who stick their briefs in there on a match day.
Other superstars like Rod Stewart just drive right up past the Gazebo and bale into foyer, as if they owe it.

Regan has backed down
Green knows he can push him now
I would not be surprised to see Green use this again to get his own way.
The sfa may not want this again but Green doesn’give an sfa for the sfa.

Agree with the shout for creativity, we severely lack it, Chico Muldini is our main play maker or we try to create from wide with Forrest or Sammy Sammi Samaras but very little from the middle. Neil Lennon should be a bit less cautious with the middle and play Paddy McCourt or Commons in there instead of two non creatives like Wanyerma/Kayal/Ledley/Brown.
Juan Roman Riquelme is currently without a club….
EDB,
Nearly, but he was still in shock after capsizing twice in his kayak, earlier in the day.
Fortunately, his natural buoyancy allowed him to right himself, without the aid of the Arranmore Lifeboat.
feedthebhear,
May I be so vulgar as to enquire on the cost of said day trip to Sweden, thinking about it myself.

Not a topic that dominates my thoughts, merely a passing comment :-)
As most people will know, every since the Sunday sport blew it’s investigative budget on a ‘london bus on the moon’ farce, exclusive revelations and stunning scoops are rare.
Fortunately one man still sticks his nose where few others dare. You can now forget everything you even think you know about what will replace the old London Road school. My man, disguised as a drunk labour councillor ( (that may be tautology but this is after all tabloid news at it’s best) my man on the inside of the City Chambers got hold of the real plans and the holographic models and plans that are already at an advanced stage.
What you read here now covers the building itself, the interior design, the architecture, the changes to Kerrydale street and the potential impact on Brigto and some other things like the Velodrome whose days are apparently numbered.
I could have made a lot of money with these but instead I’ll post the stuff here for your own consideration. Keep schtuum……loose tongues and all that …..so here it is

Regarding the school building – I am sure it is not beyond the realms of possibility to keep the facade and integrate it in to the new structure. There are plenty of examples of this already in Glasgow and elsewhere. It might be fit and proper that the museum is entered through the historic facade that witnessed the homecoming of the Big Cup and millions of Celtic supporters to home games over the years.
By the way, if it is to be the site of a new shop does that mean the site of the present shop is going to be used for something else?
Have we had any update on the Celtic Triangle?
Liking this idea of a landscaped avenue from Dalmarnock Station to Paradise as well.
No reason we shouldn’t see a hotel, eatery, Celtic owned bars etc. Either that or the hub for intergalactic space travel. I will be happy with either.
I hate spiers. Hun fud.
Green knew exactly what he meant with his bigotry comment.
God I hate them. Infact I hate them more now that they don’t exist than I ever did before.
