We continually hear that January is a difficult time to sign players. That being the case, we might get as much money for Dedryck then as now. I would also be concerned about signing a player a day or two before throwing him into an atmospheric (cough) capacity game. Especially if he is young.

Hey DD, seen you mention Mr Parry, jesus what a size of a man, seven foot tall and hands the size of paving slabs. The only teacher that made me cry when he gave me the belt, (although you tried to disguise it from the rest of the class). Always liked the big guy though especially when he let us watch a celtic european game on the big TV in class one afternoon, think it was on bbc 2, maybe Tirana or something like that.

*A kid on one, he won three caps for Brazil in 1999 shortly prior to his transfer to Celtic, these games were friendlies and rumours later surfaced that Brazilian based players at that time were being handed caps in return for sweeteners from their clubs wanting to sell them to European clubs for large transfer fees.

Avoiding debt…
There is a recognised time period whereby if you have divested your assets and then gone bankrupt the assets are ‘safe’ from claim. I think the period is 3 years but open to be corrected. Bammy went bankrupt recently. About 3 years after his wife became the beneficiary of his assets. He thinks he is safe. Minty too may be clear having been bankrupted shortly after 1872 club. Those abroad may be hard to reach.
Hopefully lots of them are still here and not untouchable. It will be important to HMRC to deliver a test case so they can pursue richer avoiders in the EPL.
I have tremendous respect for the Res 12 four. However, I still fear their work has been in vain as the club can’t or won’t attempt the head shot…
