Time for the war face, Celtic

399

You can be sure that pretty much everyone at Celtic Park and Lennoxtown has been walking around with a smile on their face since Saturday. The players have delivered enormously this season and now have a few weeks to prepare for a cup final which could deliver the treble.

Before then they face one of the league’s most professional sides. St Johnstone were the last Scottish team to beat Celtic and can still eye the possibility of finishing third.

They will win at Celtic Park if we pitch up with anything short of a focussed and on form first team. I know the cup final is the priority, but we are five games from an incredible achievement.

Have you met that gentleman at Celtic Park?

If so, i may be mistaken.

    However, im not so sure.

    Now….answer mine.

Who was Peter Lawell complaining about recently?

And how did ‘Orange Day’ come about, who was behind it?

    Don’t put an X.

    Your vote probably won’t count.

Put a 1, if you only want to vote for one candidate, rather than list them all in order of preference.

Who was Peter Lawell referring to when he complained that certain people were trying to obstruct Celtic?

Could it possibly be the same people who dont seem so concerned about safety in Football, or the same people who were behind Orange Day in Glasgow?

    What do you think Ernie?

No, not to my knowledge. I’ve never heard the name.

Peter Lawwell’s comments about the planning application were ill advised. He was trying to exert pressure on politicians over a live planning application. His comments referred to both GCC and the Scottish Government.

I’ve no idea about orange day.

But if the orangies are all Catholic Celtic supporters like Frank Macaveety then it sounds like a good idea.

Just one other point, if the planning process is running correctly, then the people Peter Lawwell was trying to influence in the first instance weren’t the politicians, but the planning officers (I’m assuming you know how the planning system works, if not, look it up). I thought his comments were unfortunate, not quite Coisty demanding to know who these people are, but in a similar vein. Unbecoming.

Now….i know im an old anarchist headcase, but strangely, im sure i saw that fellow pictured in the vip at bigotdome.

Now…i could be wrong on that, and if i am wrong, ive no problem rectifying my recollection, however, leave it with me.

As for PL…i think he was talking about the clique in the GCC

As for Orange Day…..I know who was responsible for that.

Anyway….what we have here in a political sense, is a clique of sociopaths, bigots, chancers, champagne socialists, orangemen, kid on nationalists….and HUNS:)

    My friends in Celtic,

    Kev J has a point @04.29 hrs.

It could be argued that Celtic’s crowds during the 9iar era were drawn from a more defined demographic. More polarised if you like. That may be one reason for lower average attendances than today.

We have evolved in such a way that our crowds and general support nowadays come from a more diverse demography. That is absolutely brilliant and a testimony to our progress and hard work.

In comparison the Huns, Rangers / Sevco are still living in the past and their core support, with archaic views are dominant at Greyskull.

In my opinion there are good and bad in all sections of society, but the dinosaurs in the core Hun support will increasingly chase out the decent ones who must be sooooo embarrassed at being labelled collectively.

The shout ” Your grandchildren will be Celtic supporters ” is not an idle sound byte . It is so true, thought it could be sooner than grandchildren.

Extract from Roddy Forsyth article in the Telegraph. The last paragraph is my favourite.

As it happens, King should have been a participant at another high-profile drama which is engrossing Rangers fans. He was cited as a witness in the trial at the High Court in Glasgow of Craig Whyte, who is alleged to have gained ownership of the club by fraudulent means in May 2011.

His participation was kept quiet in order to avoid what would likely have been intense media and public interest. However, having flown to Scotland the day after Rangers’ defeat by Celtic in the Scottish Cup, King was then informed that his presence in court was no longer required.

He flew back to South Africa on Wednesday but it is understood that he met Stewart Regan, the SFA chief executive, for an informal discussion on general topics, before heading back.
