WHat kind of shareholder are you?

Have you had a dividend before?

    I’m a shareholder but I don’t get a dividend

Don’t get too excited about sell on fees, a financial wizard on FF has worked it out……

If the £75m is including everything for the deal including wages and agents fees.

We’d have people, buffalo, claim that Dembelly and his agent are on 30% of that transfer so let’s presume the same here.

A £75m player must be on wages of at least £150k a week and for £75m I’d assume at least a 4 year deal.

£75m less £22.5m to Van Dick and his agent leaves £52.5m.

4 years wages at £150k a week is £31m and that leaves £21m.

They get a percentage of £21m. 10% of that is £2.1m and that’s even before if it is 10% of the profit which would be about £800k.

  3. G67- Johnston might get a few games, probably weighing up a permanent deal for Paddy, against a new winger coming in IMO HH

  4. GARY67 I think Brendan should stick with Mikey Johnson, build him up a bit,the potential is there,a few came on here after the Dundee game, and said he needs to up his game, especially backtracking ,which I thought was a bit unfair ,on the young Bhoy,

  5. Looks like the 3rd biggest incoming fee in Scotland is a sell- on ……oh my aching sides….

  6. BADA BING/JIMBOB

Mikey Johnston is a prospect, and will hopefully get some games in the second half of the season but he’s no where near ready to challenge for a regular place in the team. Even with Johnston getting more game time we still need one other between now and season end. Roberts will leave in the summer, we need to move on and get a permanent wide attacking player in to challenge Sinclair/Forrest.

Isn’t it feckin great being a Tim at Christmas, first Santa Claus and now sell on Claus…

I think Mikey Johnston IS near to being ready to challenge for a regular place in the team.

Roberts out for 3 months, Hayes out for the rest of the season, no back up for Sinclair and Forrest. A winger in January?

I think we brought a terrific young boy on against Dundee,Gary.

  11. I would rather give young Johnston a lot more game time, and wait for the Summer,to see whats happening with Paddy.

  12. JIMMYNOTPAUL on 27TH DECEMBER 2017 7:37 PM

Is the Chelsea player we are trying to get on loan not a winger?

    Hail Hail

Attacking right sided mid,I read.Supposedly, very dynamic and skillfull.

  13. JIMMYNOTPAUL on 27TH DECEMBER 2017 7:37 PM

Is the Chelsea player we are trying to get on loan not a winger?

Can play as number 10 or on either wing. He’s who I was thinking about when I said a winger in January. Makes more sense now with Roberts/Hayes long term injuries and Rogic rarely fit either.

Lewis Morgan of St Mirren is also a winger but he would be loaned back to saints if we sign him.

  14. Paddy should be back after the Christmas break so I’d expect himself and Mikey Johnston would be considered sufficient back up to Sinky & James.

We are reputed to be in for the young boy Morgan from St. Mirren but would have to loan him back till season end.

If Brendan feels he needs extra cover it would probably be a loan.

  15. Of the youths Mikey is the one with most potential.

It’s not that he doesn’t backtrack, he does. It is that he doesn’t know how to tackle or to properly close the opposition player down once he has backtracked.

Can’t be easy for a young player who has spent all his time tearing past full backs who can’t cope with his skill and speed.

    Over to you Brendan.

  16. Gooooood Evening CQN

Really dissapointing news on Johnie Hayes, just beginning to look the part and fit into the team.

Is the VVD Sant Claus, oooops Sellon Claus, not 15% of value above original sale price of a reported £12.5m ??? So around £9.25m coming Celtics way ???

    ( Lennybhoy – hilarious Bhud :-))

    Gary 67

We also have Benyu, Calvin Millar has played as a winger, and Gamboa could play wide ??? Although I think he may away ??

No offence but I disagree. I watch the U-20s regularly and I’d say he is in the top 5. Not knocking him, he’s a fine prospect, a real talent. It is more a comment about the potential we have at the next level. Wish people would stop assuming we always have to buy. Why have kids with us from age 8 (eg Tierney) unless we are prepared to introduce them as appropriate? Mikey looks like he will be a top player but the has others alongside him equally gifted. Time will tell. We are in a good place.

  21. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Young Mickey Jonson is far from ready for the first team currently he is to slight and he needs to build his body up.He also requires to learn his role in the first team in my opinion he requires another 18 months before he will be ready for the first 11. H.H.
