Jim Goodwin’s proper football team

354

In their last four outings, St Mirren won 1-5 at Tannadice, 1-2 at Celtic Park and beat Kilmarnock 2-0.  Their only points dropped was a 1-2 home defeat to Hibs after going down to 10 men early in the game.  You will not need to be reminded how Celtic teams in better form have struggled at St Mirren Park against home teams in significantly poorer form.  Or that St Mirren are the only Scottish club to beat Newco this season.

Jim Goodwin has built a proper football team* that will take points off anyone who arrives ill prepared for the task.  I find the odds, which favour a Celtic win, a tad ambitious.

*St Mirren baiting will resume when appropriate.

Apparently Cole of M’well is ‘not that type of player’ according to Alexander when asked about the tackle on Soro .

Funny , that’s exactly what Robinson said after the same player’s assault on Frimpong .

So that’s twice he’s been ‘not that type of player ‘ . Hmmmmmm.

Ernie Lynch – clearly Frank Mulholland is not of that persuasion.

But using the old upstairs/downstairs analogy he is clearly upstairs.

I’d posit that those upstairs took the content at face value (weak process) and this went through the legal machinery unchecked until it was too late.

To be clear – those R@ngers supporters in Criminal justice I am speculating about across Police, PF and Crown …

    … all are downstairs !

As opposed to cheap, opportunistic point scoring?

  3. Administrators get things wrong all the time. Witness the dismantling of the retail sector in recent years. Go back further in fact, to the demise of Woolworths all those years ago. Especially the stores – business in Scotland.

BDO, Liquidators of Rangers FC, are in the process of taking legal action against the Former Joint Administrators, Duff & Phelps, to the tune of £28 million. That case will appear in front of the Court of Session on May 4 2021. Now as I understand it involves the underselling of Rangers FC assets by the JAs to a subsequent owner of RFC previous to liquidation. Object of which to realise further value to RFC Creditors (of which Dave King, as a former Director, is one) after which, and dependent on a final agreement with HMRC, and any other outstanding issues, Rangers Football Club, as was, will finally be liquidated. These are Civil matters, though some may, or may have considered them to be criminal, in terms of the actual outcome of the process post February 2012. Which is presumably why the Crown Office asked Strathclyde Police, as was, to investigate on June 25 2012.

David Murray still has his Knighthood.

Not a common occurence for me to agree with a Conservative MP but I do this time. I am surprised at some of the responses on here to your post.

Nicola Sturgeon has also stated that, when the time is right, she thinks that an inquiry would be appropriate. How does that qualify as “cheap, opportunistic point scoring”?

‘I’m no lawyer but wasn’t it said on here that there was evidence against various accused but it was improperly used?’

I think the problem here is that everyone is trying to assemble a jigsaw to see what it shows, but a number of the pieces aren’t available because they are in a sealed box labelled ‘inadmissible and privileged’.

Unless an inquiry can open that box, and use the pieces, we’re never going to know what the full picture actually is.
