Losers of the Durrant outburst

450

Who are the losers from the recent Ian Durrant outburst?  It’s certainly not the Pope, nor any his co-religious.  I don’t even know if it will be Durant himself, who, incredibly, “meant to cause no offense”. Durrant’s status, whatever it is worth, will be assured by what happened.

The consequences will be imperceptible, part of a slow drift of affinity away from a football affinity which was once elevated by such sentiment and, in the 21st century, limited by it.  Sponsors are not the first to leave, it’s the fans with more between their ears than Durrant. The losers are the club and fans.

On the subject of wishing broken legs on bad people, could we settle on a diplomatic position of:

” I don’t wish it on Naismith (substitute any other Hun-thug name), but I won’t be greetin’ if it happens :-) ”

  3. tackling is a fine art….a good hard tackle is a sign of respect….brawmanno to brawmanno…

but for Naeclass one must adopt the Forfar “neeshinto”—-

Knee in the upper leg ,shin to trip, followed by the toe to the private sphere…

    smiley job done thing …

    Braw.

Laird of the Smiles ….sorry I cannot be there ,give KolnCelt my best….and don,t have the fish soup at the Nikolaischule….hahaha have a great night

  4. Ghuys , Naismith to me was always a greetin faced wee fugger , it was’nt till the Broony and Hayes incidents that set me off , no respect for his fellow proffessionals .

I’m normally forgiving in nature but the players i’ve mentioned i would’nt lose any sleep over .. Mccann should’nt be on the list, he just frustrates the life out of me ….because i really wanted him to come to Celtic.

  5. Cannot believe those on here who want Naismith to sustain a broken leg, ridiculous and so so Hunnish. Suppose a few were pleased to hear of Fernando Ricksen dreadful illness too, beggars belief.

Now I have long long memories of diabolical foulls on our players and despised those who maimed or hurt them , but to wish a broken leg is, well, stupid in the extreme. I fully remember when Greig bust BuzzBombs leg and many more, and yes I wanted revenge but to stoop so low as to wish him ditto would make me as bad as them surely.

come on guys, we ARE better than this.

    Good Evening fholks

Some positive news re Stephen (MAH).

He is to get a tracheotomy op first on Nov 5 to assist his breathing, and in the meantime they will be examining his original biopsy to see if suitable for trial. Will take 4-6 weeks. A bit of waiting for Stephen, but with the continued support, prayers and love from CQN we can help him through this time

Afternoon catch up in Johnstone still on for this Saturday at 1pm.

Email me for details if you can make it even for a wee while, you all would be very welcome.

  7. Whatching Liverpool, great atmosphere, and there main stand, absolutely stunning,so come on Lawell upgrade our stand, wouldn’t cost a fortune, being built on stages.

  8. KINGLUBO we are a broad church as you know, but wishing a guy gets a broken leg ,as much as I despise aforementioned, its a no from me.hh.

  9. MIT believe it or not, years ago an old fella I worked with told me the area around Celtic park (Barrowfield etc) on old ordinance survey maps used to be called Egypt and I looked it up, and he was correct, so I am sure some of the residents had camels. ???

Genuine about the east end and Egypt, some of the not so young fellas amongst us might be able to confirm this??

  10. Was about to post CRC will give us an update on MA&H, and he’s done it ?

    CRC, dropped you a text

Was also communicating with Stephen, hopefully he’s feeling a wee bit better, and really appreciates the efforts and support from CQN

Let’s ensure he enjoys Saturday get together

Sorry pal but that is me , hunnish if you like , stupid if you like but to mention Ricksens illness in along with tackling thugs at their own game imo is crass at best ….no problem here pal with how you see it

I have witnessed as many have witnessed horrible illnesses and what it does to friends and family alike , i would’nt wish on anyone something so horrible .

I’m human , i have faults ,i make no excuses for feeling hate , love , happiness and other emotions .

That’s something I never that you would be called.

    KingLubo.

Although I agree with the leg break issue and have said so, my point earlier was we can agree to disagree without name calling.

Marspapa is a genuine good guy, who doesn’t need me to defend him but I have chosen to.

    Hail Hail

  15. JIMMYNOTPAUL

A bit of management upheaval at Girvan pre-season and lost a few good players too , some good young players in team but struggling for results in league , they had a good win in Junior cup against Culter but could be a long season ! Cumbernauld doing ok

  16. JIMMYNOTPAUL

No problem here pal , same goes for KINGLUBO , its all about tolerance and opinion…

Name calling has never bothered me in the slightest .

And the last thing i want it for someone to get involved in something that does’nt affect me as much as it might do them .

This place is often quoted as a cyber pub …for me its more like a cyber kids playground at times lol!

No offence taken here .. and thanks for the “haunners ” i think they call it in here .???

I too have been in touch with Stephen who is looking forward to Saturday.

As you know I have been in touch with you and I’m going, as you know.

Norrie too, been in touch with you.

Saltires in Seville has been in touch with me, he lives in Johnstone and has given the Landlord the nod there will be a few of us in. Train only takes approximately 15 minutes from Glasgow Central and then 5 minute walk to the Pub.

Hope some of you can make it, so far:

Lennybhoy, CRC and Norrie…and then there were three…

    What say you?

Cumbernauld have thrown a bit of money( for them ) at it this season, so I think they will be disappointed if they are not promoted.
