Nine is coming, get emotionally ready for it

If Celtic were not so “relentless” © Steven Gerrard, Kilmarnock’s early goal could have led to a consequential result for the champions, but the win was never in any real doubt.  This is a team with oceans in reserve.

Jozo Simunovic conceded the penalty that led to Kilmarnock’s goal.  Thereafter, the central defender seemed compelled to atone, which he eventually did, with an assist for Odsonne Edouard.  With no shortage of talent and still only 25, Jozo will forever struggle against injury.  I cannot make my mind up on what I expect from the player in future.

While Celtic were beating Kilmarnock, news filtered through that Newco bucked the trend of recent away league defeats by picking up their first point from nine on the road.  Grinding out points like that are the reason Gerrard’s men are comfortably ahead in the Best of the Rest race; they lead Motherwell by 22 points.

It is now not matter a question of if, but when, Celtic win the league.  If Newco win their game in hand, Celtic will have a nine-point advantage, with a goal difference surplus of 20 over their nearest challenger.  ‘Nine’ is coming, get emotionally ready for it.

Copenhagen rested five outfield players in a 1-1 draw at bottom of the table Silkeborg yesterday.  This result allowed Midtjyland to extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points.  The 3282 spectators at the game will be significantly different to the packed Celtic Park the Danes will experience on Thursday.

  1. Morelos and Gerrard are in the wrong movie. Clearly it has dawned on both in the past 8 weeks. It’s clear for anyone to see that something is not right. Both will depart this summer.

I take issue with the statement that Jozo conceded the penalty v Killie.

    1st off, it was offside.

2nd, it was a blatant dive. Jozo was not guilty on either count.

Was talking to a mate about this, it was a real soft penalty, minimal contact and extra steps before the fall

total dive, felt the contact and fell, the ref couldnt wait to blow (not blow the goat but the whistle)

  3. It is absolutely essential that Celtic win the league this year – not just for the Celtic support but for the integrity of the game here in Scotland.

That’s why nothing should be assumed until the final whistle of the final game which makes the title certain.

I see RT are airing a documentary called “Unquiet Graves” some real hard hitting stuff about the murder of over 120 noncombatants catholic civilians in the ulster freedom war. Showing collusion of all levels of the British establishment and the Glenanne gang.

    Real hard hitting stuff.

    Thanks for that Canamalar

I tried to watch but it’s not letting me as it is not yet on rt replay.

I went searching to find it and came across

    No stone unturned.

About the state collusion with the army, the police and UVF murder gangs.

No truth until the UK and Dublin governments release all documents. The uk has 50 million of them.

  5. Good morning, friends from a damp, calm(ish) but with very spooky looking clouds on the horizon East Kilbride. Games in 3 different tournaments over the next 8 days and a decent chance we will still be in with a chance of winning all of them.

Not sure I go along with the bust up rumours between two affecting the huns performances so much.

Lots, even most, successful team had players who didn’t get on. Cole and Sheringham, Keane and Schmeichel, Sutton and Shearer, etc… spring to mind.

They don’t have strength in depth in their squad and their bottle crashed. Those are the two main reasons for their downfall since 29/12 I’d say.

  10. Just received this. 99% sure it is a nonsense but would like to be 100%.Anyone aware of this ?

‘We would like to play our games every Saturday at 3pm and forget live television.

‘People talk about enhancing the match-day experience. At 3pm on a Saturday, we’d get more people coming to our games and that money would far outweigh what we get from the (current) TV deal’,

  17. Listened to Sportsound this morning.

Why do we have a PR guy for the SFA on? His job is to distort the truth.

  18. It should be said, PL may have changed his view since 2015 now we seem to be selling out every week with a TV deal!

  19. Timaloy29

Thanks for your info and reply.

Suprised a bit at that tho being after the dosh PL compares Saturday at 3pm with tv rev

which begs next question to augment his belief- how many 3pm k.o?….it’s ok am typing out loud :-))

I agree his view may have chaneed since 2015

In modrin meeja terms that was a couple of centuries ago.Cheating fc are back spewing forth their oldfrim kack.

I would hope in the next negotiation Scottish subscriptions to sky should be ringfenced ceasing the idiocy of Scottish subscribers paying to add to the bloated mass of sky’s epl.

I may be wrong but sky do not give the amounts made from Scottish subscribers.

Another reason is for changing his mind may be the range of platforms a match may be viewed on/downkoaded/streamed.

Interesting topic mate, especially in the future, champions league shows how lucrative it can be.
