  1. At least the authorities did something about their cheating, Greenwood said that the £5 million they were fined for the previous breach was equivalent to a football club in the EPL being fined 130 million. Get their CEO in to run football here

  2. 2 defeats in 2 for Leicester and Rodgers. Their midfield anchor Ndidi has been out injured and they’ve looked distinctly average in his absence.

As Shankland scores a tidy goal for Dundee Utd.

  3. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Dessybhoy – agreed.

    Down there, clear, decisive action.

Up here, clear, decisive, carve up.

BTW – the point of the non football post was to highlight the significant ripple effect of cheating by just ONE club.

In this instance, four years after a club in England breaks English rules, a Scottish club is negatively impacted in European competition.

Just a small example of why cheats have to be hammered.

    Otherwise many others suffer.

    Hail hail.

    Keep The Faith.

Maybe you weren’t watching or looking for something else negative.. Jonny went through a wee spell of putting in terrific balls around the 6yrd line but no hoops jersey in that area… by the way if Leigh Griffiths wasn’t in the starting 11 last night I don’t think any other player would have been sniffing about that area to put the ball in the net …

  5. My mate is up in Dundee watching his future Son in Law,Shankland.Great goal.Hibs just gone 2-1 up.Good cup tie.

  6. Good wee half time feature on Irish teams forming the league in the 1800s.Did not know Mr Cosgrove was a Galway man.

  7. Dundee Utd v Hibs on live just now, last game of the round …. but the “draw” isn’t being done until the 7.15pm highlights programme ???

    That sounds legit ..

Surely the draw should be “live” for the tv audience

  8. The hands cant hit what the eyes cant see on

I think Bayo still has a part to play. One of the articles by CBTN showed that he is a true penalty box striker which i do not think our other strikers are. Also, Bayo seems to be the only striker we have who is a threat in the air. Eddy, Leigh and Polish Paddy (from the way his games has been described) do not possess that quality.

When it comes to plastic pitches against teams with 10 men behind the ball, I would like to see us utilising Bayo with another striker and getting balls into the box for him to attack (he was very effective against Hearts at home). These pitches, against the type of tactics adopted by the opposition, make it very difficult for a passing game to be effective.

Also, if anyone has seen the goals scored by Defoe or Morelos, then they can attest to the effectiveness of getting the ball into the box against mediocre opposition; missed and mishit clearances and deflections are abound.

Let Bayo have an opportunity to cause some chaos. It at least provides another tactical option.

    Surely good afternoon :-)

Although a very very red sky in ML5 with the light disappearing so you may be correct with your .. evening

  10. Nice one CorkCelt😀 Leicester looked very ordinary against Burnley and did not look as good as the Celtic team he led. Has the Brendan Bounce ended? Hope so!

  11. Hunderbirds & Jinkyredstar

Pitch black in ML5 … so definitely nighttime :-)

By the way Liverpool v Man Utd or Dundee Utd v Hibs … no interest in the EPL and enjoyed the Scottish Cup game, Dundee Utd will be a great addition to the SPL… even better the Sevs really really hate them … every negative has a positive :-)

    _______________

The only time I’ve seen Bayo, was in the Hearts game. The one were they were desperate to claim two own goals. He gave them a torrid time that day, with his direct and physical approach. OK, he’s no Edouard but hopefully he can add something different when required.

I thought wee Sally nailed it yesterday, when he said we were trying to score the perfect goal.

  13. We definitely still need some cover or better at centre back. Bitton injured with a groin strain and Simunovic ready to play (unless on plastic) until his next injury.

No premier sports so canny vote

    On the highlights

    Leigh Griffiths

    Tom Rogic

Jerry Frimpong (if Neil Lennon calls him Jerry that’s good enough for me :-)

Like yourself, no real interest in the EPL but I do like good football and Liverpool, in the half hour I have just watched of the game on Hesgoal, look a superb side and are an enjoyable watch.

I enjoyed the United V Hibs game on BBC. A draw was a fair reult I thought and Clancy showed that he can ref properly when he does not have an agenda.

  16. Hot Smoked 6.08pm

I said the very same to my better half it’s refreshing watching a referee just ref the game with no agendas …

I don’t mind watching Liverpool but only have skygo and put it on a few weeks ago for Liverpool v Sheff Utd … it was a terrible watch … so will maybe watch match of the day 2 since you have said it’s no bad :-)

I can honestly say if Celtic aren’t playing no game would capture my full attention :-)

  17. GFTB

`I can honestly say if Celtic aren’t playing no game would capture my full attention :-)`

Or as Sydney Tim might say:

I can honestly say if James Forrest isn`t playing no game would capture my full attention :-)

  18. I hadn`r realised just how good Liverpool`s record is this season. Unbeaten in the League and won 21 of 22 games is very impresive in any League but perhaps even more so in that billionaires` play-ground. .

Strange thing is they were better last season.

    Ekeren photos ??

Can you elaborate, that’s a bit cryptic :-)

Best 3 days of my Celtic supporting life, stuff all that treble treble stuff, and European final in Seville, a 1-1 draw with a Mikey Galloway belter that would show all the entitled mob how to celebrate Celtic not getting beat in Europe :-)
