  1. If I used CQN comments as my go to medium for Celtic games, I would conclude that every goal we score is well manufactured whilst everyone we concede is down to mistakes in defence !

I am still reasonably happy with the way we are playing under Ange.

  2. Not sure if anyone has pointed it out yet but Aouar who is playing for Lyon and is a great player is the younger brother of Nabil Fekir who played for Betis against us tonight. (I’ve just logged on)

    Wee yin is behavin’!

Off work for a couple of days with a heavy cold.

    So workin’ from home.

I’ll tell her you were askin’!

  4. Would people have been more upbeat or downbeat if we were edged 1-0 in an uneventful game where defences were on top?

We went to the home of the sixth best team in La Liga with a number of first team players missing, had a go and lost by a single goal.

We’re playing the way we want to see us play and were beaten by a team far superior to anything in our league.

  5. We are onboard with AP, the journey actually picks up momentum despite a defeat.

But we must question, we must always question.

Why is our new multi million pound striker not fit enough to make the bench.? In our rebuild it was common consensus that signed players should go straight into first team readiness.

In the absence of Callum McGregor tonight what lessons do we learn in his optimum role.

    HH.

  6. 4-3, or 2-1 or 6 – 5?

You were warned this is not Howe Eddie no longer does it ( anywhere )

Love the third strip, and love the super value of the £72.00 Europa package, see Sevco and what it costs when you let a club die, in front of your eyes. Think we’ll do well overall at home in the recovery from ten period, with the freshness of AP, and money in the bank for January.

Something should be done, oooohhh it’s a scandal so it is, sieves that Jock Stein, Billy McNeill, David Hay, Billy McNeill (again) Liam Brady, Lou Macari, Tommy Burns , Wim Jansen, Josef Venglos, John Barnes, Gordon Strachan, Kenny Dalglish Martin O’Neill , Tony Mowbray, Neil Lennon set up, thankfully most of them before the internet bumped its gums.

Celtic are a joy to watch compared with last season, X number of players down, we lose in a seven goal Sevilla thrilla ( see the Sun not tomorrow ) and give a glimpse of what Celtic should and will be. Betis were worthy winners but in awe of Celtic Glasgow for long passages in this match, Celtic remain the big club.

Groups of goals ( discussed on here ) are sieve like, and better even still sieveish sides, don’t lose goals in pairs, something AP and his backroom team of exactly the same back room team can talk about with D̶o̶m̶i̶n̶i̶c̶ ̶M̶c̶K̶a̶y̶ ̶M̶i̶c̶h̶a̶e̶l̶ ̶N̶i̶c̶h̶o̶l̶s̶o̶n̶ ̶G̶o̶r̶d̶o̶n̶ ̶S̶t̶r̶a̶c̶h̶a̶n̶ should be talking about in the wee small ours of Petec.

Superb performances from Celtic tonight include Hart, Ralston, Rogic , Jota and Ajeti whom as predicted is a player.

    M.O.M Thomas Rogic

  7. GREENPINATA

Ange said last week that Giorgi had NOT done pre season training when he joined us so needs to be managed carefully. I expect he’s being put through his paces too, so patience buddy!

    BSR…noo that’s funny…thinking St Tams has standards ;-))

    —————————————————————–

    Now that was funny.

  9. Watched wee bits of the Hun game. They are a reasonable side and play some decent football. Even so, Lyon could be two or three up.

    `night all.

  10. Philbhoy…hopefully a cold and not Covid19…you should probs all get tested…not a sentence I thought I would type

  11. Tonight’s result and performance was better than 90%+ pf us feared it would be.

But we got our hopes up and had them dashed so now we want to hit out.

With that squad, wekened by injury, suspension and religious observance, we did fine.

However we still have the same points as we would have had, if we had lost 1:0 or 7:0.

Quick return back to form against Livi on Sunday with a much changed team

  12. Philbhoy,

You are correct ( as usual ) , however I just feel with a wee bit of impetus we could have had a result.

Enjoying the music while watching the huns getting gubbed in our fav high St watering hole.

    HH.

  13. Coneybhoy,

Liked your post earlier when you said we could have a new KT on our hands.Thought the boy has been excellent when playing.I can see similarities.

  14. JHB

None of us should/would be surprised if we took a thumping – let’s hope we can keep it respectable.

    =============================================================================

You posted this the other day.

    Should/would?

You really know nothing. Nothing at all.

Was that respectable enough of a thumping for you?

Or are you still talking to every young golfer to a man?

    C’MON THE CELTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. Positives for me are that are two CBs are good enough to be dominant in the air (in Scotland) and both carried the ball out of defence well. Not really seen Starfelt do that much before. Defending well isn’t just about the back line. The first 30 minutes were like 3-1 in Amsterdam. We were excellent. I expected to bet beaten tonight and am happy enough (mostly) with our positive aspects.

  16. We were superb in spells tonight – it’s the hope that kills you.

Keep going Celtic, better results ahead.

  17. Philbhoy…you keep missing JHB’s trigger words. . if you’re looking for a response…you should try NATS, UNION, INDEPENDENCE, LABOUR or Celtic Champions elect ;-))

Oh no…Lyon make it 2 lol

    H.H.
