    And thank you too.

    Facts are what matters.

Assuming of course he was quoted accurately .

Celtic fans = Rod you’re not welcome for congratulating a Tory prime minister.

    Not welcomed by whom ?

The juvenile loony left faction ?

    A sad day indeed.

Kudos to you for reminding us of something which should not be forgotten .

  4. In the early 70’s I would be guilty of using the N word, calling our Asian friends Pxxxs etc.

Think I’m more enlightened and tolerant these days

    Just saying

    Standards and mores change.

    Generally they improve.

Who of a certain vintage did not either use those terms or did not object to the use of those terms ?

Should Elvis Costello`s LPs now be trashed because of his use of the ” N ” word in his `79 recording ” Oliver`s Army “. ?

  6. And we loved TV shows

    Mind your language

    It ain’t half hot

  7. The Forrest was shrinking but the trees kept voting for the axe.For the axe was clever and convinced the trees that because his handle was wood, he was one of them.

    West Asian Fable.

You may well be right. I don`t know.

    Marvellous performer .

    Love that recording.

By today`s standards , should he be vilified ?

    Of course not .

Rod apparently was quoted as saying CURRENTLY unacceptable things in `71.

Should he now be vilified ?

    Of course not .

  9. Rod Stewart is a racist arsehole.

Fortunately for him Celtic is a club that is open to all.

    Racist arseholes are therefore welcome.

Especially if they have a high media profile and lots of money.

  10. Getting back to matters on the pitch , would love to see elhamed at right back and young frimpong in front of him

Exiting the Celtic end at Ibrox was alarming.

Narrow corridor at the back and a precipitous descent .

Almost swept off my feet .

This was prior to the disaster.

Hampdump was worse – exiting with 60,000 at the Celtic end with the middle barriers on the stairs

” Till Death us do Part ” .

Warren Mitchell ( Alf ) was a Jewish guy who played the part of a cockney racist .

The scouse git ( father of Cherie Blair ) mocked Alf for his patriotism and love of the Royal family.

A marvellous and clever series satirising Alf`s overt racism and patriotism .

  17. In 2014/15 I was off on another wander this time around India. I think it was about December when I reached Delhi and stayed in the big market by Connaught Place.

My abiding memories of that city will be the car-park traffic, the belching exhausts and the acrid air, contrasted with the brilliant people, smiles and welcome, and sadly the parasitic riches and subservient poverty, one feeding off the other and providing just enough wherewithal to ensure the continued supply of raw material, muscle and labour.

However, one particular morning, following a night of high winds, the air was surprisingly clear and I headed for a wee jog.

As I returned via Central Park there was an Ice Cream van parked up and selling some good looking mint choc chip cones.

I ordered one and it was so good it reminded me of the best stuff from back home.

So I told the bloke running it that he should change his van name to ‘Delhi’s Walls’.

He smiled not having a clue what I was on about, but everyone in Delhi smiles.

Anyway, that’s enough keech (true keech mind you) for today.

    Hail Hail
