The opposition may be less-illustrious than Juventus. our last European opponents, but the importance of next month’s Champions League second qualifying round games against Cliftonville still got the pulse beating.
It is a good draw for Celtic, who are spared travel and associated challenges.
The first leg, at Celtic Park, will take place on 16 or 17 July with return in Belfast on 23 or 24 July. Don’t book travel until dates are confirmed.

WGS-The FA had the balls to ban Ridsdale from being director of a club for 7 years

HAMILTON TIM treats his charges differently from how he treats his mates.
Ice-cream and homework for the former,bare-knuckle ride and Guinness for the latter.

Your problem is if you get stuck behind a tractor on any single carriageway section of the A9.

Mr. McFadden did not knock us back for an EPL club, he knocked us back to stay with Birmingham in the Championship!
If the rumours are true, I would hope that it’s a “pay as you play” deal, as I dont think he deserves a contract with us due to his previous refusal.
Just my opinion.

Clifftonville, good draw…..more unite’s us than divide’s
us……James Mcfadden…..no thank’s
BMCUW
A bit of both however it’s usually quieter as we approach Glasgow as more souls fall into a state of slumber!!
BMCUW, Very funny , i hope to bump into some of the bhoys am back in Hamilton after 14 years in exile , do they still play 5asides or has that finished. Could do with getting fit not fat!

I wouldn’t dare be so irresponsible with such fine, upstanding young citizens……or even the weans!! :-)
Wasn’t too sure about McFadden as he appeared to snub us the last time, but he is a good footballer and seems to be getting back to some form. Was impressive for Mwell and i don’t think his wages would break the bank and alas with Derry Pele on the road I see him making a contribution particularly in games where we can rest our bigger performers. If we sign him then he may get an indian summer at 30 he’s not too old and has a few years yet.
Confederations Cup .
Tahiti 0——— Uruguay 8.
Palermo forward Abel Hernandes scored 4 .
Post match -he said this .
” I often score 4 whilst playing against children on Mondello beach —- I don’t boast about them and I won’t be boasting about these “

Lucky sod,I’m still stuck in Swindon!
The fives is going strong, and I’m sure CELTICROLLERCOASTER will happily give you the details.
I suggest DOC Martens and a suit of armour.
Oh,and a case of lager,none of these modern 12 or 18 packs.
And some fags.
Mind, fives might have moved on since I were a lad…..
Cliftonville v Celtic 16th/17th July @ Solitude. The venues have been switched folks, but we get our game at home which is exactly what we wanted.
See if Celtic bank 30 million plus if Forster and Hooper join Wanyama out the door.
I hope they go for Eduardo Vargas or Raul Jimenez. Push the boat transfer fee wise. They’ll get it back plus more.

I wouldn’t worry about the dead club at #92 still being there.
The coefficient rankings are calculated as a combination of a club’s results and the performance of all clubs from that member association.
As the rankings are calculated on the previous 5 years, Rangers will appear on the rankings until (I think) season 2016-17.
They cannot be removed because their results contribute to the coefficient points of any SFA member team who qualify, and for the same reason, their total is added to every year, the amount calculated on other SFA members’ results.
Last week, Derry City were given coefficient points for their Europa League qualifiers, but those points were not added to those of Derry City, the club liquidated in 2009, but still on the rankings.
Article 12 will see The Rangers, should they ever qualify for Europe, given qualifying points, but those should not be added to the points of the Rangers presently at #92.
Who would win a race from Inverness to Glasgow……Paddy or Faddy?

Suprised we never asked SOuthampton the question on Morgan Schneiderlin as poart of wanyama deal.

Cliftonville spokesperson on SKY just said that his understanding is that the game will be played at Solitude.
HT i usually end up doing the driving myself so I know you might as well be on your own once the “toddlers” have tired themselves out on the daytrip!

Your dedication is beyond reproach,a vocation not a job. Fair play to you for that.

Think I would rather have Paddy. JMcF has blown more cold than hot in his time. IMO
Afternoon all
Am reading that first leg is switched to Belfast – any confirmation?
Also can I be first in this Wimbledon to say how much I can’t stand Pippa Middleton?

Where in Hamilton have you settled?
BMCUW
It’s the travelling to Celtic away games that’s the vocation. Anything else is a chore!!
BMCUW, I think at this stage i’d need to add zimmer frame to that list, but can’t bear to hang up the boots yet, the mind is active but the legs unwilling. Weird being back in Hamilton but need to get more social thats where I thought the 5 a sides would kill two birds
HT am up Wellhall Road, while I try to get myself sorted back into “Hamilton Life”
Stokes sneaked out of Celtic Park when he was there to sign. So dont give me that old hes had his chance stuff.
Fadd wd be great signing!!!
Tahiti were robbed.

This way we get to maximise the TV revenue, no point showing the 2nd leg if we get a beating in the 1st over in Glasgow.

It has been switched yes, our Chairman just announced that Celtic agreed to the move and they’re just waiting on UEFA rubber stamping it.The day of the game still hasn’t been decided yet however.

I was asked by a couple of lurkers about my leg at the graveyard on Saturday morning both from Hamilton..
Well I assume they lurk as they never told me their cqn names..

If I can help in any way with the settling in you can contact me at hamiltontim@hotmail.co.uk
Your fame knows no bounds BT even stretching as far as Hamilton!!!
McFadden on a free, as back up to Commons, would be a good deal IMO. When Kris doesn’t play we struggle to create chances as we have no one else who can play in the attacking midfield, floating role. Faddy could do step in when Kris is injured/rested.
Also increases our number of home grown players required for UEFA competition.

So is the first leg going to be in Belfast???!!!!

I reckon you might have settled on the right site though possibly the wrong town if yer neighbours are anything to go by!
There are a number of Hamilton lads on the site, met a few myself and can recommend them.
I hope you enjoy your homecoming-I always enjoy mine!
It’s leaving again which is becoming more difficult. Increasingly, but heyho.
