It’s that time again, buckle in!

The final dice on what could become our second nine-in-a-row season is set to be cast.  I expect business to be done but the usual caveats apply, it takes agent, player, selling club and buying club to be in alignment for a deal to happen and if one gets cold feet a deal will not happen.

For me, the position of greatest need is central defence.  Jozo Simunovic and Nir Bitton are enduring injury problems which have forced their absence for much of the campaign.  The loss of multiple wingers is less a concern, as I realllllly hope we play three at the back and two strikers for much of the remainder of the season.

Buckle in!!

  1. Wanyama would be good cover for brown and McGregor – they are due to Break down due to the # of games played. Wanyama can also play center half as cover if needed. Physicality and Experience and a dressing room boost

  2. Celtic NEWCO is a Cert if both make through their winnable ties.

Zombie Nation I hope would be the whole theme @ Celtic Park.

Disgusted with the allowing of a dangerous tackle on Edouard the last game at Celtic Park, deep in injury Time.

Clancy was less than 5 yards away. Despicable.

Didnae see the 2nd half up at Perth, seems like similar.

Shut that windae and let’s Fight.

You need to have a word with your sources.

Victor away to a 1st division team in France and Filip away to a championship team in England. Buckle your cosy coupe !

  4. Not even a squeak of a signing,

we should still have enough to see the league out,

but if it all goes pear shaped i hope

people are ready for the carnage that would follow.

Sounds a bit like your favourite movie ‘ Birth of a nation’…away and iron your cape!

  6. I was wearing my cape when I watched rangers bully us all over the park time and time again. I was wearing my cape when ross county should have scored 5 against us at parkhead. I threw up on my cape when Scott brown played center half against st Johnston and the team fell apart.

Thems the breaks regarding reliability, you didn’t post six comparable CB’s all at Celtic

at a given time, like the list I posted of current staff?

El Hamed turned into a right back but was a CB when we signed him, he only plays

20 odd games a season wherever he’s played, so the unreliability argument is warranted

Simunovic was handed a four year contract under Brendan Rodgers and was unreliable from moment he signed his original first contract, so we couldn’t blame this window.

I would have liked a CB in, but don’t think not getting one is a ‘game changer’ we’re well covered for the SPL games.

Actually quite funny, intended or not!

  10. Stebhoy,

jeezo pal,Ross County had one extremely good chance they should have scored with,

along with a couple of efforts at goal any professional keeper would have saved,

at least be realistic with your argument

  11. if the manager is not supported – then I think its a negative , yes!! he asked for support and didn’t get it. (1hr to go)

    Off to bed.

Celtic simply can’t put out a narrative (to paraphrase) of ‘working to ensure we have a team to win every game between now and the end of the season’ and then sign 2 projects.

    People aren’t stupid.

They’d have been better saying nothing at all.

PL and the board do not have enemies to seek, but stuff like this just diminishes their credibility in the eyes of those who think they’re doing a decent job.

    @ BOURNESOUPRECIPE on 31ST JANUARY 2020 10:51 PM

We aren’t well covered if we plan on playing a 3-5-2. And if we plan on playing a 4-2-3-1, then we aren’t well covered for wingers.

  14. Channel Tunnel gates being lowered as we wait.

I hope there are no trains in the tunnel.

    Or ferries approaching Dover.

  15. Canamalar it looks like OCD obsession on

    …………GM,

    “People aren’t stupid.”

Plenty on here stupid enough to sing the praises of the boards record on signings, expect them to blame NFL for lack of investment.

Celtic’s business in this transfer window is done. Klimala and Sorro the arrivals in January

    @STVSport

for the last few mins of the window

  17. When elhammed was sign everyone was saying he was a centreback. Now people sayings he is right back, ffs make your minds up. I prefer to say he is versatile. so we have ajer, jullien, jozo, elhammed plus bitton and wee welsh for emergencies.

soro and polish paddy are 21 years old. One has played over 100 games of professional football. The other has played over 70 games. These are no wee boys making a breakthrough.

We are not likely to struggle to play a 352, 4231 or 433 with our current players.

We have 3 goalkeepers, 3 players that can play right back, 2 players that can play left back, 6 players that can play centreback, we have 4 players that can play wide excluding dembele and the other kids, we have about 6 players that can play in the centre of the pitch and we have 4 forwards.

The squad is very strong and if we don’t win the league it will rightly fall at lennon’s door. I think we will win the league.

  18. Wanyamas loan to Amiens collapsed seemingly after everything was agreed Spurs, Levy moved the goalposts and asked for more cash, previously Amiens had agreed to pay £30 grand of the £70 grand a week.

Now talk of Spurs tearing up Wanyamas contract making him a free agent.

Those that say where would we play him, who would we drop? In Europe, against the Huns and any spl mob away, defensive midfield needs rotation and Vic would be ideal over the next few years for us.

  19. Sevco sign on loan a bench warmer at mid table hibs!.

    Yep!.

Thats what nosferatu meant when he talked about huge investment in january!!.
