What’s the difference between Celtic signing Lewis Morgan now, then loaning him back to St Mirren, or simply signing him on a pre-contract agreement to join the club on 1 June? Primarily, it is about the player’s training regime.
Celtic are paying St Mirren for the privilege of telling them how Lewis should train, what dietary rules he should follow and what developmental objectives to prioritise. He will train, rest, eat and sleep according to guidelines Celtic set out.
The cumulative effect of sports science is difficult to quantify, but it forms the basis of much of what the technical staff do at Lennoxtown.
NEW! The CQN Podcast: A Celtic State of Mind (EP28) with former Celtic director Tom Grant
A Celtic State of Mind presents its 29th instalment of insightful discussion around the culture of Celtic Football Club, the city of Glasgow, and fans of the reigning treble-winning Scottish champions.
Paul John Dykes and Kevin Graham are joined by Celtic’s ex-director, Tom Grant, who offers a fascinating insight into the running of the club in the 1980s and 1990s.
Tom Grant explains exactly why Celtic refused to complete the Mo Johnston transfer in 1989, and lifts the lid on audacious efforts by Billy McNeill to recruit Peter Beardsley and Steve Bruce.
Tom Grant also dissects his relationship with Fergus McCann, and the impact of the ‘Celts For Change’ movement in overturning the ‘family dynasty’ board in 1994.

JINKYREDSTAR
I’ve ffwd, from your earlier post as I’ve just come in from a wee family bevvy.
I spoke to wee Jinky around 1980. I asked him if he was gutted that he didn’t play in the 1974 World Cup. He said that he knew when he boarded the plane he knew he had no chance of playing following the Largs boating incident during the Home Internationals.
He was included in the squad and travelled to Germany to keep the peace but knew that he was never going to participate.

Paul67 Etal.
Just had a call from Zbyszek and in the discussion he mentioned that a Russian blog
mentioned that Celtic were after a young Real Madrid player and offered £3.000.000
for him, his name is Danny Gomez, could be a rumour, but Zbyszek thinks it could be true.
I don’t know what nationality he is but sounds like a Spanish guy, anyone know anything
about this Boy, if it’s true that Celtic have offered £3 million for him they must think
he’s a good prospect.
No doubt the Timreaper will will have a look in the Real Madrid team list to see if there is a Danny Gomez listed as a player, I hope it’s true I don’t know what position he plays, but it would be interesting to find out a bit about him.
Park road 67-back in New York New York this year ,canny wait:-))
PADDY GALLAGHER
Take care and God bless!

He is 19-years of age, a Striker and he is Spanish. He according to reports has refused to sign a new Contract with Real. We have also been previously linked with a move for him.
