    Surely any and all funding has to be notify able and recorded on accounts.

     

    Otherwise everyone would be laundering cash like Sevco are at this moment, DUP and loyalist cash from NI

    would be nice once in awhile for our club to keep us informed on our long injury list NB, MC, EO & LM etc. on long they expect them to be out for , when they expect to return to training and back doing what they get paid for , the sound coming from Lennoxtown is deafening.

    He has gotten what he said he wanted, and would have gotten it sooner if it wasn’t for the zombies screwing up their promotion push.

    Thankfully, Brendan has rowed back somewhat from his mis-step on the eve of a CL game. ANd the board hae stopped leaking to the press too it seems.

     

     

    A united front is necessary but a true united front only comes whne there is agreed compromise on both sides.

    When I talk to the sevco fans with whom I can still have a conversation, quite a few of them have been saying openly that they have access to a new source of funding. They cannot or will not say what it is but they all deny that it is, in any way, an illegal source.

    If it is not properly, honestly and fairly accounted for in their books then those books are unacceptable for granting a UEFA Licence.

     

     

    This came out in 2012 when Giannina FC had their application for a UEFA licence investigated by the UEFA’s CFCB . The original need to investigate came from tax overdue payables in circumstances remarkably like Rangers in 2011 but that investigation also found, guess what?

     

     

    Private contracts with players not fairly presented in the clubs accounts!

     

     

    This was in breach of a “fair presentation” requirement under UEFA FFP relating to acceptability of accounts offered as proof that a club was operating in a financially fair way.

     

     

    Was false proof provided in 2011 to obtain that licence is what the SFA JPDT should be considering, but in current terms why does a scorpion sting? There is no reason, its the nature of the beast.

     

     

    This is what I mean about not knowing your enemy and how they operate and how complacency has done nothing to address the licensing process that fails if a club has been and is, dishonest.

     

     

    None of that matters when we are winning comfortably, now that might end unless we spend to restore that level of comfort, there will be a lot more Celtic supporters and shareholders demanding answers of the Board.

    They were 8 points up going into injury time. Galway then scored 2 goals (3 points for a goal) to narrow the gap. Amazing stuff

    St.Stivs;

     

    Memories of 1968,took in a lot of games as an 18 year old that year.That game at Celtic park and the game at Ibrox with wispy scoring twice was there and enjoyed immensely.I remember the Ibrox game kicking off late

     

    due to a march at Bellahouston.The great Eastern on Duke Street is where we stayed….

     

    Also the red star game( was not there ) wee jinky having a stormer.Yes an incredible Celtic side and so glad to have witnessed some great games.

    DD’s October 2012 statement treated them as a continuous club ( he never actually stated they were but the intent IS sufficient to find him guilty).

     

     

    Yet, no moves were made to accelerate their return, even though, following the LNS decision, there may have been legal grounds for doing so.

     

     

    DD made that statement and chose to sit back for the next 3 years (4, as it turned out) and let them rot in lower dividions. Hardly, the actions of someone determined to live up to his wish to “have them back”. There was willing political back up from Alex Salmond who told us that we “needed them”. Surely, DD could have been pro-active in getting powerful figures together to get them “back” earlier.

     

     

    Sometimes the words and the actions don’t match. We both still feel that the words were totally unnecessary and activey undermined any quest for appropriate justice being dealt.

    When DD made that statement (how many years ago?) has anyone asked if he would repeat it now, knowing what he knows now as opposed to then?

     

     

    I would be amazed if he did but why not write and ask him care of his Dublin based company? Its only fair that you do surely given how often you have mentioned what was said in the past?

     

     

    I’m not having a go at you here. Its the kind of action that individuals can take in addition to stating misgivings on line.

    I don’t know where they would hide or declare their funding sources in accounts but, as they apply to this summer’s transfers. these accounts are a good way off yet.

     

     

    We are told on here regularly, that our accounting processws alllows us to hide money too. We should be awash with funds, I am told, but this does not get accounted for in club expenditure.

     

     

    Maybe, some of our bean counters, could outline where all this money gets washed. My head hurts when I think of the sums involved.

    I’m no conspiracy theorist but it is strange the way the stars are aligning for a Sevco side not long since being in the gutter.

     

    Aberdeen ,Hibs, Killie all losing influential players and Celtic treading water while money and decent players pour into Ibrox.

     

     

    Hmmmmmmm , as some might say.
